Seems like everyone wants us to win on Sunday

12th v 11th doesn’t really make that much difference, spurs going down would be a huge event
Results fall nicely for us today we’ll be 4 points off 7th with a game in hand.

This isn’t a mid table meaningless set of matches. It’s qualifying for European football. Of which the last time we managed was 10 years before I was born.

Let’s put it this way, would you prefer to be sitting in Porto on a sunny Thursday night watching Sunderland, like Forest have just had the pleasure of doing, or would you prefer to be celebrating Tottenham playing a midweek match vs Lincoln?

Message received from a Leeds United supporting colleague....

'Hoping you can do us a massive favour on Sunday!!!!!'
I’m calling that as FAKE!!!!

- no mention of being massive, revie or the 1970s.
- not signed off with “MOT”. They are big fans of car maintenance tests.
- spelling is too decent
- it doesn’t reek of greasy Yorkshire puddings

You can understand why I’m confused. Newcastle supporters who want the teams around them to pick up more points at the detriment of their team’s league position when there’s 7 games left to get into a European competition?
Newcastle win all remaining games they will qualify for Europe. Sunderland humping Spurs this weekend won’t change that.

I’m not that arsed if Newcastle win as long as we’re not playing them.
I would like to see Tottenham lose every game til the end of the season regardless of who they’re playing.
Don't understand the dislike of Spurs.

It's good seeing big clubs being unexpectedly relegated for a change, esoecially London clubs, but I don't particularly dislike them or want them to lose in every game they play

My brother in law is a Spurs season ticket holder and I'd be a little sad for him if Spurs get relegated. However it will be good for football to see one of the 'untouchables' get relegated and one less London club (I hope West Ham go down if not Spurs) is also a good thing.

P.S. we need to play like we did in the last hour of the derby to win. Just the kind of game we will mess up.

It's our form that has created this relegation battle because people expected us to occupy the bottom 3 and create a buffer for the other teams which is what normally happens. The result of us doing so well is that it has massively increased the number of points needed to survive.
And Leeds Tbf. I know they’re still in it but they could end up with 40 points

I wouldn't be wanting to qualify for Europe if I were you, if reports are to be believed you'll have sold half your squad and not be able to cope with two games a week like you couldn't this season.
