Could go bust leicester if they go down, will be costing the owner a fortune, wonder if he will rub his hands of it

Looks like most of the debt is to the chairman too so as long as the owner is sensible he could get some of the money back. Football really needs to sort itself out out though, every club bar a very small handful are just 1 owner getting bored or their business hitting an issue away from administration, clubs losing millions a month is idiotic.

Training ground has a beautiful 9 hole golf course and if they own the ground they’ll get some money for it. Won’t be anywhere near the circa £200m they changed from debt to shares though and any other debt but will get some money. Get them back in the championship and probably worth £50m or so if he were to write the debts off I guess. It’s been an expensive time for them that’s for sure.

Daft decisions and choices drag on for seasons, especially if you're lumbered with over paid players you can't get shot of
Like every reasonably sized team they'll have a few years in the doldrums then an exciting 'project' will emerge, which is normally code for the next sucker has arrived to plough in millions with little hope of getting it back unless they sell the club on to someone with even more dosh😅

Unless another club comes in for it to buy on the cheap like forest it'll probably become housing at some point as its in a decent location

The training ground costs them a fortune to run, do they even own it? The stadium won't be worth much to anyone else. It's an interesting situation, they will probably piss league 1 but with all the losses they won't be able to spend much at all in the championship, looks like a sheff wed situation to me

Google have them down as owning it aye, the stadium won’t be worth much but I was just meaning if they sold the club as a whole the new owner would need/want to own the stadium too.

Either way it just shows how quickly things can change and how a couple of bad decisions can have you falling down the leagues. Understand your owner dying isn’t going to happen to every club but not many like us with a young owner.

Maybe they do, just seems alot that it cost them 100 million a few years back with no debt tied to it.
Agree with you there, they've been very unlucky but also a bit stupid in some situations, they were all set up to tackle the established clubs but tried to act like an established club

It’ll either be where some of the latest £200m debt to shares came from or king power will own it but it’s still within the family.

Stupid and unlucky sums them up perfectly, I bet agents had a field day with them too.
