Dan Neil

You obviously watch him with your eyes closed.

I hope ipswich come up to show how poor the lad is on a much bigger scale
No I watched him play a huge part in us getting from L1 to the PL. You want to be proven right about a lad who has supported us and played well and represented us very well so you can say I told you so!!! You're coming across as a bit of a knacker tbh
See some people are still struggling to home to terms with the fact he’s not that good and never was
I see you think your opinion is fact

Our midfield got ripped apart last season by bang average championship teams, funny how so many on here forget that 🤣.

That shite team that got promoted you mean ??? What’s wrong with fans today. Denigrating one of the greatest achievements in the history of this club. We should have been no where near promotion on paper.
Each and every one of them were hero’s and should be celebrated on here for their achievements. They were as one and gave us everything they had to give, massively overachieving.
No one played more minutes, no one was voted man of the match on this very forum more than Dan Neil.
He may not be prem quality ….. but he’s a better representative of this club than some of the disingenuous sad lives on here

A mental perspective. Symptomatic of the world we live in: “I’d rather I was proven right than see someone doing well in spite of my predication.”

Many people these days are just a salesperson for their views, rather than being interested in truth and being happy to adjust their view based on new evidence. People who’ve never used facts and logic to defend/critique a view before just assuming that their initial emotional reaction must be right.

It’s contagious in this place

What a f***ing mental and sad thing to say. Or even think
Dan bleeds read and white and always will. I still think it's a shame that he wasn't given more of an opportunity. I know that he was devastated by it. All decent fans wlll want the very best for him.

Exactly.

If his level is top half championship then so be it, he's still achieved in football what 1% of players ever will

From the outside, it appeared that when all of the new signings arrived last summer, Neil didn't knuckle down to prove in training that he could hold his own alongside the higher calibre players and prove to RLB that he could be part of the team.

Contrast this with O'Nien who saw it as a massive opportunity to improve and demonstrate that he could be a Premier League footballer.

Training might have been a small factor. I think Regis will have weighted the decision more to his performances last season which were good for the level but not indicative of a player that would step up.

Im not talking shite. You want a comparison.

Watch sadiki when our defense have the ball.

Then go and watch neil at ipswich if ipswich arent winning.

He will stand by his marker not wanting the ball. He did it the final v sheff utd and many other games.

Compare him to a player like hackney at boro who he has fallen miles behind and hackney might not even be good enough for the premier league.

Neil is a bottom half championship midfielder

How so? He's been starting recently for a team that are 4th in the league and could well finish in the top 2. Am i missing something?
