Durham v Kent (h) C.C. ( 3/4/26)

Just my opinion here, on an umpires lbw decision. We were there all day with no benefit of a action replay. The lbw decisions looked to me to be correct. It looked like the decisions against Durham were given when the batter was playing back into his crease and the 2 Kent decisions likewise. Northeast was putting in a big stride forward so when he was struck in front he got the benefit of any doubt as it should be. In my opinion of course.

I think the -2 is worked out by they should bowl 16 overs an hour. Throughout the day they bowled at 14 giving a -2 figure. That is why the figure is updated hourly on the scoreboard. It is then carried over to the second innings giving them a chance to pull it back.
It'll be interesting to see what the figure is when they bowl again. At 3.40pm they were 9 overs down and only bowled 14 overs in the first session.

Last year, it may have been Yorkshire at home, not sure, anyway after the first innings they were -3, taking their time setting fields, sauntering between overs, then second innings played 2 spinners rushed between overs and ended the match +2.
Going to be a cold one today. Woolly hat and gloves methinks

Peaking at 14°C mid-afternoon so shouldn't be too bad.

The lbw delivery to Crawley was a jaffa. A big positive if he gets back to previous form.
Yea.
I read yesterday that he's said he's going to start bowling more swing and less cross seam wobble balls. IF that's that he's been doing with England it just might explain his sudden poor form. So, fingers crossed it could be a good season.

Durham said yesterday that if they'd wond the toss they'd have bowled. If they had they'd be batting today and potentially dodging the rain.

Just watched Gay's end of days play interview. He appears to be a pleasant lad mind I'm pleased he doesn't "bob" his head about as much when he is batting compared to what he does in an interview.

We get an lbw!

If it stays with light spots of rain we may be lucky, but if they go off I doubt they’ll be back on until it stops completely

And 2 wickets in the over!
