Mags selling their stadium to themselves

Wetherspoons has done a breakdown on twitter. But aye they’ve done it to basically avoid a breach. Without it the would have booked a 90 odd million loss. Now they’ve swung into profit 😂 it’s not sustainable like. They can only do that once
It’ll be to cover the loss of CL football next season

I see their ceo say they may look to do similar in the future. What else could they sell like 🤣 women’s team? The howay trademark ? They’re gonna need to shift some players etc if not the next lot of accounts then the one after when they don’t get champions league. The next lot should look ok considering isak sale and champions league money but for next seasons books wooooof 🤣

Thing is with this the Saudis have including the purchase fee injected over £800m now into Newcastle, it’s very possible if they tried to offload the club they could keep hold of the shit tip as an asset and if they presumably have to keep injecting hundreds of millions into them they’ll soon be over a £1bn. I’d be getting very worried about where things are heading cos if they’re selling their top players they definitely won’t be getting back in the champions league any time soon

Ext season is gonna be huge, their account should look ok with isak money and champions league cash but if they don’t get into the champions league this season or next they could be in serious bother. By that time Bruno will be 29 and into the last year of his deal as will livermento, the likes of Wissa is dead money now. Howe seems hell bent on shoehorning wolta into some sort of number ten or attacking midfielder if his form continues they be lucky to get half that back. The only real assets they have is tonali and maybe Gordon. Tonali is already making sounds of wanting out and Gordon seems to have a high opinion of himself. Gonna be an interesting end to the season for them and next season looks vital in the whole pif project.

Why bother building a new stadium and spending the £2B needed for it. As you say redevelopment of Sid James which will quadruple their money, then simply ground share with Spurs, pay them £25M a season rent or whatever.
You think the mags would share a ground in London with spurs ?

Saudis wouldn't see any issue with it surely. Saves them circa £2B in build costs. They make about £500M profit on the regen and sell off of the St James's area. They get to play in the best Stadium in the UK, and in the much more desirable London in front of 60,000 every "home" game. They pay a decent rent to Spurs who enjoy the extra income.
