Excuse my painful stupidity on this... I understand that this is a creative way to avoid PSR... my questions are;

Is this not cheating? So will they get in trouble for it?

Does this also make it look more likely that they are trying to stage the club for sale?

I’d bring in a salary cap. You can only spend certain percentage on salaries with 3/4 players falling outside the cap. Gives you the balance of paying top whack for the best players in transfer fees and wages but not totally blowing everyone out the water.

The PSR changes next season. Salaries cannot exceed 85% of revenue.

It does and probably is. That said, some of the goings-on in the EPL have been shady for a long time. Nobody (with any clout) cares as long as the money train keeps chugging along.

He can say it all he wants. It's what literally every club in professional football wants. It's the easiest and most obvious thing in the world to say.

Executing it successfully is an entirely different matter, and while Beheaddie is still waddling about getting his DoF sacked in order to give his nephew a job with Jack Ross supervising him they've got no chance

Aye, he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place with their fanbase. He’s probably the first person PIF has employed with a grasp on PSR. Unfortunately for him, their ego won’t allow them to sell players without investing it immediately. I think Howe will be away in the summer too, he’s had free rein on their last few transfer windows, I can’t see him operating in a more constrictive environment and he’s probably been told he’s going to lose some of his best players in the summer.
 
So what happens if they want to move? Will they still be tied to the t0 year lease?
Who would give the Saudi firm anymore than the land value of the ground less demolition costs and remediation
