I actually feel for Edwards on this. If he had any journalistic integrity left in him he'd have realised Look North have stitched him up. Instead he sucked it up which will prove to be a mistake.

I actually agree with this. He apologised on his own platform after the response yet there was none on the stage it was made on. I must admit I didn't even know who he was but he didn't seem comfortable there at all and seemed to be led by the script.

The BBC broadcasted a report on Sunday night 22nd March and on the Breakfast bulletins on 23rd March. The match was also reported on the main BBC One news evening bulletins on 22 March.
In my opinion, that was fair enough. Move on to other things.
People who were moaning about Monday teatime's coverage are wanting what?? The match was finished, over and done with over 24 hours earlier, the reports already done and dusted.
They will be moaning that the opening pictures of Look North don't have enough Sunderland based pictures next, or Sunderland pinpointed on the weather report.
OK it may be perceived that Look North is biased, but I honestly believe that some fans, who dislike the coverage , watch it just to whinge on.

The Look North coverage was edited to a) remove virtually all coverage of negative incidents involving their support; and b) minimise coverage of the Sunderland win.
Also it was broadcast in a generally
funereal, wounded tone by their knacker of a sports editor. Her bias is so obvious it’s pathetic to listen to. Detests SAFC.
