Look North/Tyne Tees Coverage ***Europa League Special***

Tonight, Newcastle's news is on before Sunderland again. Newcastle's story is the possibility of Anthony Gordon being sold. Sunderland's story is RLB being nominated for manager of the season. That's just an insult. Again.
Wonder what would happen if it were Beheddie nominated and Sadiki or someone possibly leaving.

Feck them

Blimey the BBC website is getting as bad as Look North. 😁

In an article today that sums up West Ham's dire season it said of the Hammers;

"A spell of three wins in four matches against fellow strugglers , and Burnley at the turn of the year ..."

Following our (away) loss to West Ham in January West Hams' "fellow strugglers" Sunderland in fact remained 8 places above the Hammers and were in 10th position and held a lead of 13 points over them.

During the entire season the closest the Lads have got to a relegation spot was when they fell to 13th place on 14th March but even then two weeks earlier they had become theoretically "safe" on 40 points.

Suffice to say the Lads have never been "relegation strugglers" at any stage during the season

I think that’s meant to be ‘fellow strugglers Tottenham as well as Sunderland and Burnley’ but as Burnley are also strugglers it’s a bit confusing to read.
