He wasn’t brilliant but he wasn’t awful generally. The goal is clearly an error but he’s instructed to play it to O’Nien and can’t be blamed for Luke’s pass. He’s not Roefs but considering the circumstances he’s been okay in the games he’s played.

he was shite? thats very harsh. he was mistaken for that pass but otherwise..what did he do wrong exactly? i would agree was clearly nervous but he didnt fuck up after that. he pulled off somce decent saves. he didnt fold. hes a young lad, new to the team, never played in a game this big. of course hes nervous.

I don't even agree with that. Take this as you will but he looked his usual smiling self immediately after the fuck up.

He’s nowhere near good enough. In a handful of games hes cost us our place in the cup with an insane backpass, got sent off, should have given away a penalty at Leeds, cost us a goal here and nearly cost us a second with another bad pass to Xhaka.

Sorry but CBs at PL cannot make a major mistake every single game. You don’t get second chances very often at this level in games. He’s got very lucky so far not to be punished too much. Lad needs moving on in the summer.

You can’t blame the keeper for that. Roefs has been doing that all season too. It’s how PL teams up and down the country play football time after time. Luke’s left foot is more than capable. His brain, however, is not.

MOTM twice too. no one is syaing he should be first choice, he wouldnt say it either. and his time here is very obviously coming to an end. what most respect is his dedication and clear love for the club, he went from bottom of the ladder to premier league captain and deserves respect for that. he made a mistake today and was solid the rest of the game. theres no need for some witch hunt.
