Lovely house though.
They've done a hell of a job on it. Was just a proper old persons bungalow before. Reckon he might have been a builder himself."This advert is brought to you in partnership with Stone Island"
Lovely house though.
Pulled in to charge my car at it the other day. And had a slash in it's toilet.Peak SMB - I stay in that one all the time. Just off the M1 at Nottingham/Derby.
I know it well, Junction 25Saw that the other day, it doesn't give you any idea what you're actually buying.
Clearly its not the building, I can only imagine its a part ownership of a fairly short lease?

Grey and beige, fuck all in the garden. So dull
Stopped staying there now they've opened the Crown Plaza just down the road though, that place has a very decent spa and costs barely any more. Might as well, since I'm on exies anyway.I know it well, Junction 25![]()
We used to go into Sandiacre for a few pints, which was decent.Stopped staying there now they've opened the Crown Plaza just down the road though, that place has a very decent spa and costs barely any more. Might as well, since I'm on exies anyway.
Disappointing that in 82 photos there is not one showing the top of that tower. I would love an observatory on the top of a castle turret. You can probably guess what kind of property I would like if my numbers come up

Yeah I loved up the hill in rickleton and have very vague memories of a very high water. Think we walked down from James Steel park to where the boat launch thing is to see it.I live a mile upstream from there and about 30 years ago the river was right up a height and running really fast , stood on Fatfield bridge to watch it. There was some flooding further east of the bridge but not to the houses iirc.
When we were there I was speaking to an old fella who was telling me this was nothing compared to when he was young and reckoned what is now the river bar got flooded which I’d never heard of.

Yeah that's perhaps what I'm thinking of.I’m sure the field to the left of the launch pad was flooded afterwards.
Non standard construction means mortgage companies won’t touch it. Wonder what they are made with. Was wondering what the catch with the cox green one is, says cash only due to non standard construction. Assume the flood risk ?
Prefab houses I think, only meant to last a short number of yearsNon standard construction means mortgage companies won’t touch it. Wonder what they are made with.

Grandparents lived in one where lidl now is in hpool. Strange looking things. Must have been flattened within 50 year of being built.Non standard construction means mortgage companies won’t touch it. Wonder what they are made with.
Airey houses are post-WWII prefabricated homes (c. 1945–1955) designed by Sir Edwin Airey to address labor shortages using pre-cast reinforced concrete (PRC) panels and columns. While quick and cheap to build, they are deemed "defective" under the 1985 Housing Act due to corrosion in steel-reinforced columns, requiring structural repairs and a PRC certificate for mortgage eligibility

Like something from a POW camp![]()
Nice position but you can't get a mortgage on that house type as it's designated defective under the Housing Act. That's why it's so cheap.Always loved the location of these houses
