This is how I felt after Port Vale. History being rewritten because expectations changed. 40 points on the board after 8 years away and yet the season being framed as a failure because of a shit result against Port Vale.the supporters have slipped back into the old mindset we had during our last stint in the Premier League.
Obviously I have no idea why he left. I could hazard a guess though. I am sure, even if he is pissed off that Bill & Bob left early, his £50k a week will lessen that annoyance a little. He has history for it lately, must be thinking why did I leave bayer , in last 16 of champions league, for this shit , supporters can't even be bothered ,
Eh? What is?tosh.
Reasons that oddly didn't apply 121:59 minutes into the Coventry game, even though it was a 8pm kick off. Some supporters have to leave early for good reason but not thousands! It sends an awful message to the players, that theyre deserting. given up. It cant help with motivation.
His career will be over soon and it's obvious he wanted to get into coaching and see the rough side of the game. The struggle some clubs can have of a season. He wasn't forced to come, he chose to.He has history for it lately, must be thinking why did I leave bayer , in last 16 of champions league, for this shit , supporters can't even be bothered ,

What was he saying?Having a moan at the fans in the East Stand late on. Was not a happy bunny today.
2 people I've seen. Some supporters have to leave early for good reason but not thousands! It sends an awful message to the players, that theyre deserting. given up. It cant help with motivation.
Where has anybody said it only happens at Sunderland? Show the posts. You must be logged on to see media items
Only happens at Sunderland apparently.
this thread. it would have been all over social media if it really happened. to me it seems there's 2 people, possibly 3 on here in a crowd of over 45 thousand saying it's true. it's just a made up story to have a go at the fans.Eh? What is?
I said we're no different to any other set of fans.2 people I've seen.
One bloke used to sit in front of me at my old seat, would leave around 80 mins all game. I'd walk out after the full time whistle and hes on the concourse watching the tvs... wtf?
Another lad who is a mate leaves his seat early and just walks around the middle walkway as that's what his dad always did. Doesn't know why he does.

What people have said is Sunderland is one of the worst going for the amount that leave and how often it happens.
Thats before we get to the pockets and pockets of empty seats dotted all over yesterday. Where are they?
Obviously I have no idea why he left. I could hazard a guess though. I am sure, even if he is pissed off that Bill & Bob left early, his £50k a week will lessen that annoyance a little.
Are you daft?I said we're no different to any other set of fans.
You're response was "bollocks"
Truth is it happens up and down the country.
I had no idea. Just stuck a substantial number in. Either way my point is he is handsomely paid to turn up. Fans fork out hard earned money, to attend. He is supposed to entertain. You are supposed to be entertained. And the rest. Xhaka's on twice that
Everyones allowed to criticise, but those who don't even bother attending, criticising those that do because they chose to leave a few minutes early is slightly ironic wouldn't you agree? Are those of us who attend allowed to criticise? Thats usually moaned about aswell.

Aye got no issue with that being pointed out.Everyones allowed to criticise, but those who don't even bother attending, criticising those that do because they chose to leave a few minutes early is slightly ironic wouldn't you agree?
It happened most weeks in the championship as well though. It is ingrained into people to leave early so they can beat the traffic or go for a pint. It’s sad as fuck. The fans leaving early is just a result of fans doing a shift in mentality and gotten too comfortable in the Prem already.
I agree mate, hope it picks up a bit between now and the end of the season. So what was the deal during the playoffs, and in the first half of this season where on almost every game we were under the cosh, had low possession and barely any chances.
I will tell you what, the fans attitude to playing in the Premiership.
We have become deluded and entitled within 30 games.
We are odds on for relegation next season if the Stadium of Light is like that next season. Talk about how the players play all you like if they don’t have confidence and energy to play at the levels they have, when they get the support we are toast.
Every commentator in UK has talked about the SOL having the best atmosphere this season about it being our secret weapon, about how difficult it is for the opposition to play in.
What about all of this do people not understand?
