Xhaka not happy with the early leavers

There’s some tremendous crash outs here tonight. A day and evening of drinking mixed with a shit result and lads offering each other out? f***ing mental.
We’ve probably played less games than a lot of teams in the league. Dumped out the carboa cup first round, no Europe etc. There’s a lot of teams that will have played a lot more games than we have. I think it’s an over used excuse these days if highly trained peak footballers can’t play 42 games over a season then we’re doing something wrong.
And look at how threadbare our squad is? Don’t forget the AFCON too.

All but reindilo it was a mid season holiday 🤣 how many mins did diarra and talbi get probably less than a game between them. Just think it’s an overused excuse, we have a whole department that takes their blood everyday and knows how close they all are to their limits. Not really buying the tiredness excuse, the drop in quality is quite large from the starters and finishes mind so that’s a better excuse than tiredness. The drop off since around Xmas is worrying though our record over the last 15 games is relegation form that speaks to larger issues and hopefully we address the depth quality issue in the summer or next season could be a struggle.

We were lucky the first half of the season injury wise. We now are in a period where we have been without several key players. As you say, the lack of strength in depth is showing.

We need a few more transfer windows to build a deeper PL squad.

Not the first time he's had a pop at the fans. It's pissing him off.

Mind, shows how quickly things can turn. Threads galore around Christmas about how much people love this group of players, Xhaka a God, Le Bris top drawer etc. All copping for it now.
I dont think the problem is with the players, I think it's with the way they are told to play, they can be brilliant when they play fast, attacking football they're as good as any team in the division, also when they play their defensive game, they're almost impenetrable. Lately, they've been slow, lethargic, disinterested football, the defence has completely changed their style. So much of the game the players are standing still just watching the ball and then being galvanised into action too late to make a tackle or an interception, a couple of times today, in defence, they were standing still in the penalty area like pins in a bagatelle game. Why is this happening? It's got to be the manager and his tactics, it's so frustrating. So Granit, don't blame the fans, look to the management.

Disagree. We are way off the better teams in the division in my opinion - from a free flowing attacking perspective anyway.. We have managed to grind out results / points with our tactics for the most part.

Yes there are but they haven’t just been promoted

Did he mention that he hit the first defender every time he took a set piece, and had a fuckin stinker today?

Don't have a pop at the fans when you have had a fuckin mare yasell man.

He’s way off his normal standards , through injury you assume and wouldn’t be surprised if he’s having an operation in the summer. Carrying an injury if ever a player was

Nee idea if he is or he isn't, and he has been the backbone of our survival this season. I have sung his praises all the way.

But he can wind his fuckin neck in if he starts having a pop at people paying to follow this club.

I think people are misinterpreting him.
He’s a demanding leader, he thinks we are all in this together, we all have our role.
He just wants everyone to pull their weight.
He was angry with himself, with his teammates and with the fans …. Frankly so was I. It’s only if we all do our bit can we hold our own in this division.
In fact that’s how it worked before the turn of the year

Agree with this. I thought Le Bris understood that the best way to get the crowd engaged at the sol is to play high intensity and on the front foot from the off.

The crowd will accept standing off a side and playing like the away team if we’re up against Arsenal or Man City but it’s no surprise fans can’t get enthused playing like that against Fulham, Brighton etc.

Can I have a pop at them then? I’m an east stand season card holder and it totally pisses me off when the bastards start streaming out to the front and side of me so I can’t see what’s going on in the game. If they’ve got to leave so early, don’t fuckin come at all, and don’t spoil my enjoyment of the WHOLE match.

People are forgetting we’ve only just come up and had a dream set of signings and a dream half of a season.

Short memories

Xhaka, played well today thought. But I mentioned half way thought the second half that he wasted leading the team like he has been. He turns away from lots of situations and was quiet in speaking to our team and rallying them. I fought that strange during the game and well before I read any of this.

Too much is put at the managers door. Le Bris isn't saying ya know what lads, I know you've been doing really well playing fast, aggressive football BUT I now want you to stop doing all that and be slow, have no energy and to just switch off etc.

We've got a load of injuries, players get tired, they are inconsistent etc. Opposition also play a part and are working us out as we become less of an unknown package etc.

The way you're talking teams who get off to good starts should maintain form throughout the season. And if they don't, it's the managers fault. That is not reality.
