Forthcoming gigs.

Booked to see Jon Anderson in October. To be honest, my love of the band ended with Close To The Edge so I only really want to hear the songs from those first few albums (plus their version of Simon & Garfunkel's America which is probably my favourite thing they ever did!) and I only want to hear them sung by Jon Anderson - wouldn't care that much if he sang them to backing tapes but the Band Geeks seem top notch. Would be happy if Steve Howe joined them, mind, rather than touring with the current version.

I will have a listen to the new album, though, once I've read your press release!
Band of Geeks are excellent. Ritchie Castellano has reinvigorated Blue Oyster Cult and gave them a new lease of life for 20 years and seems to be doing the same for Jon Anderson. I hope to go to that show too. I saw the Anderson Rabin Wakeman tour a few years back which was excellent too. I have enjoyed the current versions of YES post Anderson and certainly wouldn`t write them off but can understand a purists view.

How was he? had you been to the Utopia tour?
brilliant. Never quite got on with Glasgow as a city before and previous 'heritage' act gigs had the experience spoilt by pissed up boomers 'on day realise' so I was a tad apprehensive... It was excellent, the Glasgow crowd was excellent and venue too. First time seeing him...

Its the 18yo bairn who had got into David Byrne massively so I'm now getting to experience events I wouldn't have chosen myself through her. Show is like utopia, but different... Having screens gives him the opportunity to comment on world events, and I was greatly impressed by the Glasgow reaction to some of the messages on display and themes he talks about. The world isn't dominated by arseholes, no matter what the noise on social media might suggest.

class, can't wait for Friday now! (even more than usual!)

Pogues & Michael Head announced gigs yesterday

Tickets to be purchased.

Michael Head ticket attained
Pogues O2 pre sale is tomorrow. '20th Century Paddy' album announced for November release and Springsteen version of 'A rainy night in Soho' out now.

It's all happening.

So far I have tickets for:

Richard Ashcroft, Jethro Tull, Fairport Convention, Rush, Iron Maiden, Clearwater Creedance Revival and Ten Years After, The Prodigy, LOTR Orchestra, Bootleg Beatles and Download Festival.

Looking to pick up tickets for Deep Purple, The Pogues, Lemonheads, The Hu/Skald and Kyla Shaker then probably something Christmas week plus some local stuff.

Thinks that's a pretty solid year. Had Neil Young tickets but he cancelled otherwise might have been my best year of going to gigs yet.

f***ing skint though 🤣

I thought the Lemonheads had cancelled the tour after his 'indiscretion'
