Forthcoming gigs.

Enjoyed The Nightingales at Pop recs last night . Terry Edwards support act interesting . Canny turnout and nice early finish .
I enjoyed the way they compressed 17 songs into just over an hour with no between song drivel. Although he's never been an athlete on stage, I noticed Mr Lloyd seemed a tad lethargic, maybe a number of gigs in a relatively short period taking its toll? The violinist was superb throughout and added an interesting layer to the songs. It was a nice touch to be given a paper ticket on the door.

I'd love to see the return of paper tickets en masse but know that it won't happen. I do like a bit of drivel to personalise the individual gig but not the same patter every night of a tour.

Whilst certainly not athletic he threw a few shapes and almost wiggled his arse at one point.

I'd have liked SOMETHING between songs now and again, as he's such an interesting and articulate bloke but, yeah, maybe he was a bit knackered anyway. Thought the 2 women carried things to a large extent but all very enjoyable overall. I found some of Terry Edwards' stuff quite, ehhh, challenging but the more recognisably melodic tunes were great (were they songs I should have known, but with the songs removed?). His CV is incredible!

The paper ticket is certainly something to be encouraged - without the £2.50 Ticketmaster charge for the privilege. Had another pre-gig pizza in the Vaults across the road - they are spectacular!

I saw Terry Edwards with the scapegoats. Very challenging set but did include a rousing version of we still hate you Margaret Thatcher. I have an ep somewhere by him.

I got a ticket for Elvis Costello in Liverpool in June in the pre sale earlier and the ticket was not as eye wateringly expensive as I had feared. It’s also standing in the downstairs area which I prefer.

Absolute cracking night tonight. Samantha Fish excellent as ever and a great support from Zac Schulz. Were you there @mickb2112
Missed her again Geoff. I keep missing her. She tours a lot and I keep saying "Next time". I would have gone but I was just asked to do FIVE interviews with each of the members of YES, Danny Vaughn of Tyketto and John 5 current Motley Crue guitarist all in the next 7 days so full steam ahead with those 😬

Is that the original members of Yes (or the ones still alive) or the current version (in which case my first question to each would be 'Who are you?)?
