I held his head and whispered in his ear throughout . My 16 year old granddaughter and 3 others were stroking him and reassuring him. It was by far the most beautiful and emotional thing any of us have had to do.So sad, if you can face it please be there with Billy so he knows how much he is loved.

Sadly, today’s the day our beautiful Black Lab Collie Cross will leave us. There’s been a massive deterioration this last week in her. We’re absolutely devastated and completely heartbroken. I’m getting the easy part of puppy life so far - come in from work, calm the frazzled family members, and mostly watch both dogs have a nap. Big sister Bonnie has learnt to ignore her, mostly, but an old child’s gate has come in handy to give them both a time-out when it’s needed.
