This, doesn't matter what team you play in this league, first priority should be a solid base in midfield. Got exposed big time last weekend. Said it already you can't have Sadiki as a holding midfielder.

He agreed to sign permanently for us back in the summer. That's how pre-agreed fees work for loans, think Ekwah as a good example.
 
Well, that's a bit of a kicker!

Losing a player of his quality, that can fill a number of roles right at the end of the transfer window is a blow. It could be a possibility that we have to rely on Onien for the rest of the season to do that job.

We will never be in competition with them. If a transfer target is being chased by Sunderland, Chelsea or Liverpool I can tell you one of the places they ain't going.
 
Going to be interesting to see who we bring in and you'll get a feel then or whether the club are just playing the season out or whether they're arsed about pushing as high as possible.

Expect us to tick over, get some bodies in and its been a great season. But does feel like we are only a few players from being top 8 challengers.

It depends on the contract. If it was just an optional agreed price, this is probably true. If it was an agreed price that became compulsary for any reason, terms would almost certainly have been agreed with the player.
