Geertruida

Three hours is all it’s taken from this breaking as a thing, to being confirmed by a journalist as a done deal.

Looking forward to announcing the replacement before 2.30pm.

Me too, but it looks like we’d need Diarra inside. If we pushed Habib wide we’d likely have a similar soft centre to the one we displayed last week. It’s a move away from Reggie’s old 4-3-3 to more of a 4-4-1-1, but that’s what it’s been when Hume has done hybrid too imo.
Still 4-3-3 for me.
Diarra - Sadiki - Le Fee
Talbi - Brobbey - Adingra

I think the big benefit will be in a positive relationship with Liverpool, which will potentially unlock other deals going forward. Same as with Chelsea when we allowed them to bring Guiu back.

It's intentional from the club to operate this way as a longer term play. Let's see when it comes back to benefit us.
I think the post you replies to overstates the value of the option to buy. Whats the point in triggering that if the player says no thanks to sticking around permanently?

Tremendous amounts of copium here.

Liverpool and Chelsea might send us a loan unproven at Premier League level to develop or give game time if we're lucky. They're not returning the favour by selling us Palmer or Ekitike are they?

Chelsea literally asked for Guiu back after a fortnight. They're looking after themselves, as should we.
