Away tickets - Loyalty points . . .

Would have been nice to get a single point for every home game, Being a seasoncard holder for over 5 years now that would have been around 100 points by now.
The reason is that the recent PL Season Card holders wil have as much a chance as long serving SC holders getting tickets say for Wembley FA Cup.
To me thats unfair? Unless there is a system in place to allow long serving SC holders better access?
Surely that would be unfair on young fans though, they could hardly have been season ticket holders 20 years ago if they weren't even born.

How do you know how the club will allocate tickets when there would be fewer tickets than SC holders?

Previously, years ago, the club said such games would be done by years with season ticket. Black cat points weren't going to be used because it's not an away game. The new owners might choose differently but I strongly suspect it's the new season ticket holders this year who would miss out if such a thing was lucky enough to happen

How about this, low pointers apply for any game start of season. 200 seats or so are used at random.

If you cant make it you get one other oportunity or they go elsewhere.

Its quite obvious with the lack of atmosphere among the away support this season that there is too many anoraks who collect black cats points like its a stamp collection. The ballot will help liven things up by allowing a wider section of society to attend.
So I assume you think it's not as good as last season when the very same people went to the games? These anoraks were there last year too, and the year before and the one before that. It'll take probably 10-15 years for there to be any noticeable difference purely because of an ageing crowd. Thats probably whats happening with the mags because of their system of lifetime points

I get both arguments here, I’m fortunate to be in phase 1 and think that’s right for me and others who have put the miles in , but also understand longer term there should still be opportunity for people to build points up especially the younger generation coming through. But this is the main point in all of this that I feel strongly about - this is not the time to now change just because demand is suddenly high in the premier league. The reason is demand will drop off in the coming seasons, I probably went to 70% over games previously and this season I’m going to them all, and there will be others like me with us been out the prem for so long, I will probably drop back down to 70% next season and expect others will too (not all as I know some who will do every one) but my point is in the coming seasons demand will drop when hopefully we stay in the prem long term, at that point there will be opportunity for people to build up points. If after a few seasons that’s not the case then it will be time to look at the system

Exactly the position I'm in..

Probs did 80% of away games in the championship and league one but I'm on for 100% this season. Haven't missed a single away league game.

No way I can do this next season. Probs be back down to 80% or less

which is the swings and roundabouts, once the exuberance wears off it will level off and the twisters can try next year.

While I believe the current system works quite well,I think more should be done to get younger supporters to the matches. Perhaps a reduction in the necessary points for games who are aged 16 to 21.

We need to think about the future generations of travelling support and I also think it would improve the atmosphere.

Couldn't agree more mate....i posted few weeks ago, we need to get the next generations going home and away.

20% of ticket allocation to go into a ballot for all season ticket holders has been brought up apparently 🙌
An unbelievably shit idea
50% of allocated amount to STH with 70+ (65/60 could be set at whatever level) points. 50% plus anything leftover from above phase into a ballot system STH only with a deadline to enter the ballot.

Mate of mine is a Man Utd STH and this is along the same lines as what they do. Out of the ballot this season hes had City, Spurs and Arsenal. Usually get between 15k and 20k in the ballot per game.

And whoever makes the point 'wasn't like this in League 1' spare a thought for those that did the hard yards in L1 but lost a load of loyalty points in the 3 season cull at the beginning of this season. There'll be a few who did the undesirable aways in L1 who've got no chance of a PL away game under the current system.
Then you/they haven’t done enough in the championship then.

From having a look I think we had about 28k season ticket holder at the beginning of the 22-23 season so that would just about cover any Wembley allocation for those that have held a st from then to now.

I think that they should give first dibs to those who fancy going as they haven't been away before. Then let high point fans have a bash.
its only fair.

Call me what you will, but if they start bringing in ballots for away tickets then I just wouldn’t bother, been to every game this season, have had to go into phase two for the last two tickets sold ( Bournemouth and Oxford) and managed to get tickets ok, the idea of having to enter a lottery for a ticket doesn’t appeal to me at all, I’d just stop going to away games.

While we're on, I think there should have been a ''legacy'' season ticket holder section whereby those who carried over season tickets from Roker are recognised.
Boro did it with Red Book, not sure if they still do.

So because someone is older than someone else they should get priority over someone else ?

I’m 38 and had a season ticket 30 years & currently on 72 points … but someone who’s 60 and had a ticket 50 years should get priority over myself ? Is that your point?

Extend it further, if you were eligible for a Lincoln play off ticket at the Ssol, you should get a free badge.

could never happen anyway mate as they only have records of who has had season ticket from the last three seasons.
(Or at least that's what they told me when I made a query about lps at the beginning of the season)
