Chris Rigg

Jobe Bellingham was a boy he came and played virtually everygame for us. Harvey Elliott went to Blackburn as a 17 year old and played over 40 games. Marc Guehi went to Swansea as a 19 year old played 50 games. There is so many examples. If Rigg was playing more games and getting more minutes and making a impact of course keep him around but there is absolutely no doubt his development has stagnated and it won’t get better without games
People develop at different times including physically. You can’t simply say look at these other players of his age.

And you're clearly forgetting he's only 18 years old. He's still a boy. You think he's gone backwards and there isn't a single acknowledgement that the standard he's playing at is significantly better now. Stubborn 😂😂😂 are you taking the piss? If I'm stubborn then you're ignorant to that fact.

You're comparing ability with Foden AGAIN. There were calls for him to be loaned to get more games, Man City resisted. They let him develop under their guidance. That's the situation. That's what I compared. You didn't get it.

Just a reminder he's only 18 years old. Still a boy. Seems irrelevant to you.

He's 18 years old FFS 😂😂 it's absolutely mental this, do we send all of our young players out on loan?
No but all of our young players haven’t already got 75 games under their belt. Rigg is past just trianing and playing u21 games if u stand still you go backwards in football it’s pretty clear.

But he’s already played at that level? I don’t care what age you are he needs games he isn’t improving at all its clear to see everytime he gets game time he’s miles off it.

Other than Elliott the others were physically more ready than Rigg is. You'd want him playing CM I presume? I think he'd struggle at championship level playing CM and it would be of little or no benefit to him or us. I get what you're saying I simply don't agree. That's not stubborn, it's simply disgareement. I think he'd be better off here and patience shown with him.

But that might well be that his body needs to adapt and his physicality. My point is that just because others might have done so by a certain age doesn’t mean that can apply to anyone of that age.

That’s fair enough we just have different opinions on the subject i suppose.

Sell him while his stocks still relatively high
He's 18 years old, why are we rushing him into playing a lot of games so early in his career? He's played more 1st team football than Miley btw and is a year younger. Of course he can get better by training and occasionally playing alongside much better players. Improve as a player and a professional. No offence mate but I'm not overly convinced you know much about football/player development

You're comparing ability again.

Well we certainly don't want him going down the Billy Gilmour route. Four clubs by the time he's 24.
Won the Scudetto in his first season aye what a bad route played at a World Cup played about 50 prem league games for Chelsea and Brighton

So he won two scudettos in one season, you talk some shite mind

You're bang on with Gilmour, he has struggled to develop compared his obvious talent due to his physical drawbacks and competition. Rigg could well find himself on the wrong end of a similar unlucky situation.

What ? He’s playing for the current Italian champions and your saying hope rigg doesn’t take same route :) :) :) :) :)

You've missed the point TWICE.
So you won't us to lose a good player to go on and be successful elsewhere? Think about it, I'll look for the smoke

Who’s the good player involved here ? The one that’s done fuck all not even had a shot on target for about 65 games ??? I’ll be waiting for the age related excuses

I'll leave this here as my time will be better spent talking to a plank of wood
It’s debatable if the ability people mention is there or the physique if he never scored that back heel he wouldn’t be getting this leeway yes he’s young but the flashes aren’t even there

He's young, let the lad develop. Show some patience. Talk of selling him man, absolutely mental
Yeah I know he’s young he’s not showing anything that’s the problem and hasn’t for a while get a canny bit for him atm I’m not convinced he will go on to be any good
