Early Leavers - Again!

Quite often we'll be a minute or two late like. Depends on what we've got going on that day. Thought we did well to get to the ground earlier than usual on Saturday and the queues outside the North Stand meant we didn't get in any sooner!

Guilty of going for a pint at half time n'all. Usually one of the only chances I get to catch up with a mate. Fair play to those who can get served and sup it within the 15 minute break.

Didn't notice any early leavers as much on Sat. Well done everyone for attending!

Honestly there was loads up in the concourses from 85-90 mins. Not really noticed it at all this season but on Saturday it was crap. Was that many, was just a human traffic jam down the aisles which, as i said above irritated me as i couldnt see much down at the south stand end. had to stand up which no doubt pissed off those behind me

Yeah I was just talking about us in the South East corner tbf. Odd one leaving but that's it.

The reason for posting is that the thread basically suggests that anyone leaving early is not a true fan, so I wanted to show that sometimes people have genuine reasons. I admit this doesn't apply to everyone and when I do leave early I don't stop and stand in people's way. However, imo, the worst part is people arriving late at the start of nith halves and leaving their seats around the 35-40 minute mark because of the need to drink. Now that is inexcusable imo, but whatever I or anyone else says they will continue to do it.

What's inexcusable? Going for a half-time pint?
These threads are repetitive and tedious like...

If you're one of the ones making excuses and leaving early   'Til The End or until I have to sit in my car for an extra 10 minutes

"Making excuses"?? Ha. I have left early in the past and haven't / wont be offering any excuses on here. It's nothing to do with anyone else

The main thing is you’re not bothered as well

Only bothered by people thinking that anyone who leaves early needs an excuse. Ha
Yes it is if you block other people's enjoyment which they have paid for. It very much is.

I sit at the end of a row and constantly up and down from 85 minutes onwards and have my view blocked as they pass me.....

Doesn't bother me....

Not interested in why anyone comes in late , going down early at half time or even leaving early , because it’s nothing to do with me ,

Staying till the end , or leaving early doesn’t make you any better or worse of a fan , do what you want to do , normal people don’t care .

Unfortunately the easily offended make it their business to post on here telling everyone they are superior because they stayed and watched the groundsmen cutting the grass ffs.

No one gives a fuck man.

except leaving early does make you a worse fan

If you are leaving early to try get a head start on the traffic, get an earlier bus, simply anything just to get home that tiny bit earlier, or get a pint quicker etc, you really need to give your head a wobble. There are many examples of the ground being fairly full at full time for certain matches, so it's bollocks that they need to leave earlier. It's pathetic. The last 12 months have been the best supporting the lads, and some would rather get home quicker than to clap the lads off. Again, pathetic.
Well said 👏👏
That also does my head in when people do stand in the walkway and people behind cant see. At least have the courtesy to move on.

As a grown adult I dont feel the need to have to "clap" anyone.

Thats my choice.

Whether you find that pathetic or not.
I dont care 😂😂
Give your ticket to someone else then, you’re not a ‘supporter’

All you do is come on these threads to say you’ll do what you want and it doesn’t bother you… yet here you are every time trying to say it doesn’t bother you and you don’t need an excuse. Do you walk out the ground smiling at everyone in the stands thinking “look at me I’m leaving early?” Like you’ve achieved something?

"Look at me, I'm leaving early"? - No, as I don't leave early.

Don't let it bother you, you seem upset

You’ve just got a weird way of going on about it mate. Leaving early negatively affects the club no two ways about it. Why else would the club have called it out themselves? You can play the “people can do what they want” card all day long but it’s still shite. I don’t know how anyone can argue that. Another hard fought win at home in one of the best times ever to support the lads and the ground was half empty at full time. That’s poor support however you want to dress it up.
