I would think playing football would be DN’s key for the rest of the season. Sheff U if he’s going to start for them would be a good move. Given they lost the first 6 games, they’ve been on play off form since and I wouldn’t rule them out of top 6 this year. DN won’t start games in the PL for another club this season, aside from whether he’s good enough for that level he’s simply not played enough to be up to speed.

Neil isn’t from Sunderland is he? Thought he was South Shields
FWIW Burnley would be an excellent move for him. Great to see a lads fan rack up as many appearances but sadly no room for sentiment in football and nowhere near the level of our current midfield
