I don’t think Hume had a great day today and doesn’t even get in the team when Mukiele, Ballard and Reinaldo are available. Cirkin is a natural as an attacking LB and despite his positional mistake today I’d still prefer him to Hume. Of the two Cirkin is potentially more a PL player for one reason - better pace. Like O’Nien we love Hume for his effort and commitment to the cause but I think he’s top Championship rather than PL quality.

Cirkin was absolutely horrific for 90 mins I can’t believe he stayed on the pitch that long tbh thought Regis would of hooked him
 
Thought he showed some decent moments with Adingra in the first half. The goal was early second half and rocked us and Leeds piled on the pressure. They settled for a point which benefited us at the end. Not sure why people are hammering Cirkin or the team and I'm a right moaning bastard! We were in the game and had a few moments. If we were as bad as people say then Leeds would have hammered us.
 
I'm not privy to what goes on during our training sessions, but, one of the things that I've noticed is that it tends to be the nearest player to the 'keeper that presses them. That's why, yesterday, it was mostly the striker pressing, but, was also Le Fee, Xhaka, Rigg, Adingra, and Cirkin on one occasion. Again, not privy to what goes on, but, everyone knows the drill - someone presses the 'keeper, everyone else does their job. There was a fair bit of 'not doing their job' throughout the move that led to their goal. That or, it was a quite well worked goal by them - credit where credit is due.

100% closing the keeper down was a reasonable gamble and Xhaka filled in for him. They played through the press, took a chance with a backheel during it and to be fair scored a fantastic team goal.

But that didn't happen today. Xhaka was pressing higher than Brobbey and Isidor at times, Hume kept following Okafor inside early doors and even Mukiele from centre half followed Tanaka to the edge of their box twice. It was pretty clearly under instruction that he continued to go that high for the goal.
