We sit 7th -unbeaten since AFCON but still moan -send him on loan -not strong enough -it’s bizzare
We are the envy of many clubs but apparently some of our squad are not up to it
I know in the ground is different and you don’t know who on here are not actually safc but having followed the lads for 60 plus years these dint half do a job even when it’s backs v wall
Today missing -Sidiki -Reinildo -Traore -Ballard Tabli
Arguably all of whom would start -so that’s half a team ( outfield ) that we dint have .
Yet once again we don’t lose -with lads playing their first game and others out of position

The goal was on Mukiele. Ballard stops it imo. Senses the run before it’s happened. Nordi is a great player, but he’s a full back. You see it in fine margins.

I think a few are to blame for the goal, Rigg and Brobbey both go for the ball leaving a Leeds player free, Geertruida gets caught too far forward and then Mukiele isn't great for the ball in, uncharacteristic bad pressing from us.
 
Happy to see one of the lads that played a massive part in getting us promoted twice get his chance. Did well enough.

But that didn't happen today. Xhaka was pressing higher than Brobbey and Isidor at times, Hume kept following Okafor inside early doors and even Mukiele from centre half followed Tanaka to the edge of their box twice. It was pretty clearly under instruction that he continued to go that high for the goal.

Who played the ball up the line to lose possession?
They turned it over as a result and counter attacked
1-0 up play easy ball to Centre back

The press was too gung-ho aye.

Still a great goal from them too. Whole team touched the ball. Fair enough.
 
He did well for his first game back in a very long time, playing at a much higher level. Played well first half, formed a good partnership down the left with Adingra and they looked our biggest threat going forward. Pretty solid defensively 1st half.

He was up against it second half but the whole team were not playing well at that point. He's getting blame because he's one of the old lads that hasn't had an opportunity yet so people immediately jump on him as not good enough for the league. Hume got tortured at times by Okafor today but won't get the same criticism because he has proved he is good enough for the premier league. Some of those criticising will be same posters that were calling Ballard a "bombscare" at points last season. Give the lad a f***ing chance man.

Alderete did and he had too because he dribbled too far forward into their trap. When he received the ball initially he had both the switch and back to keeper options open.
 
Had a decent first half, faded badly in the second.
I think this is what you would expect of a player who hasn't played competitive football in 6 months and never before at this level.
His fitness and sharpness will I prove and he'll be a useful squad member.
 
Haven’t read all this shit, surprised he was chucked in for 90 minutes, I’d have had geertruida at the back. Thought xhaka missed his mate badly today
 
It was all Cirkin’s fault today. A guy who had to play as our first choice LB was at AFCON and our second choice had to play RB. Aye. Absolute weapons on here tbh.
 
His just 23 so could improve... But was not up for it last year... So wouldn't minde getting better options for lb.
 
Watching MOTD, might be my imagination but I think I heard a shout for Cirkin to press when he did and others should have covered for him so I’m not blaming him for being out of position for their goal

Geertruida made two mistakes in that sequence: he's caught up too high and loses Stach who passes to Aronson on the wing, then he tracks back but loses Stach again in our penalty area and Alderete seeing him free he gets out of the way of DCL to mark Stach leaving only Mukiele to try and stop DCL.
Really poor play for half the team for their goal unfortunately.
