Whisky

Hopefully getting back to the gold old days, when I used to pick up the 10 and 12CS from the Loch Fyne Oyster bar shop on the way to the in-laws in Inveraray. They'd have a light layer of dust on them
Do think the 10 and more of the KK is hanging around a bit longer( certainly the more entry end of things)

The Inverary woolen mill used to have them in the exact same nick. Found and old, old style bottling of SB10 in there once, must have been on the shelf years!

If you’re ever in Seoul I heartily recommend a dram in Malt Bar Barrel. Very decent stock of whiskies (albeit more contemporary than you often find in Japanese whisky bars) and comfortable atmosphere.

Seoul has a dearth of good whisky bars and those there are have tend to have an unexpectedly mediocre bottle selection.

Can’t say it’s quite my cup of tea. Outstanding food and incredibly cheap but you don’t need more than 3 or 4 days here.
I was there for work for 10 days, so it was a nice balance. Far too busy a place for me, but nice to see. I got trip up to have a look at the Demilitarized Zone, that was interesting

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you it's not the 13yo Caol Ila. Had it at a tasting last Friday and thought it really poor, like drinking peated new make
You know what it’s going to be now you’ve said that ?

Sure there was a obviously young Lochlea as well…maybe that
