Basically criticising players thinking, decision making in pressure moments, basically saying some of them are bottling it and they are going to have conversations on what's happened and why.Feel for Stokesy, what did he say?

With players it can 1 of 2 ways..with his collective criticism..it'll either fire players up or they'll go into thier shells..it'll say alot if it does fire them up or it goes the other way.He looks angry, dejected, annoyed.
Think Root when we won 1 in 17 tests.
Stokes just called the players out there on the TNT interview.
That's why as much as I understood the anger towards Steve Smith, he told a truth to Jofra that is a metaphor for this England team, thats why Archer bit at him imo.Basically criticising players thinking, decision making in pressure moments, basically saying some of them are bottling it and they are going to have conversations on what's happened and why.
Fat chance. My reaction when Stokes was out was that I hoped his example would carry over into the next test. Next test? It didn’t even carry over into the next over with Atkinson and Carse reverting to giving the Aussies catching practice.Hopefully we will play sensible cricket for the rest of the series.
At least McCullum, the coach who admitted that he doesn't actually coach the players, should be able to get a hold of this if he's not too busy building his brand.
Wanker needs peddled, he's stealing a living.
100% what he's saying now is right.Stokes should have been saying this 10 days ago. He's absolutely spot on mind but damage is done and they were warned about this after the first test. Massively reality check this but the warning signs were clear and this lot decided to arrogantly ignore it. Stokes is a fantastic cricketer and a crazy competitor, however he needs to stop "being nice" and just call it out and make tough decisions for example dropping certain players. Big calls needed
They just put him in charge of white ball too so he’ll be going nowhere![]()
Probably bring an even bigger pillock in, as per Silverwood and Mott.Three more tests until we see the back of McCullum.
Yeah. Prior is spot on. Stokes is fronting up and he always puts his body on the line for this team (at times wrecklesly but we know what Stokes is like). I would love him as a captain /manager in my team because he always gets stuck in. I'm not saying his decision making is always the best, however he never ever hides. He needs to go in that dressing room and rips heads off. Matt Prior is superb here, get him in the dressing room100% what he's saying now is right.
I think he didn't want to feel like he was backtracking at the end of the 1st test, it was wrong what he said but could see why he was saying it (denial or protecting the players).
They've had 2 weeks to prepare for this and he feels let down by a bunch of the players now after he's publicly backed them.
Finn speaking sense as well, Stokes is asking the players to step up and take some responsibility.
Well said Prior
Stokes and Root won't allow them and if they do, then the A team players will come in.With players it can 1 of 2 ways..with his collective criticism..it'll either fire players up or they'll go into thier shells..it'll say alot if it does fire them up or it goes the other way.
Needs to be gone ASAP.!!Ollie Pope has 62 caps... Wow![]()
