Australia v England, 2nd Test, 4th December 0400

What a player Starc is mind, been the best player for either side by some distance.
Him and Root are so far ahead of everyone and yet they both seem the most humble and least bothered about the tedious banter & media circus.

The only bright spot today is that Boland and Starc have been out there in the hot sun and that might take a bit of the edge of their bowling (not pun intended)

In the history of Test cricket, has there ever been a time where at the end of game two, the presentation party has announced the man of the match and the man of the series?

They might as well give it Mitchell Starc now

They bettter hurry up as Archer wants his nap

Not a fan of the word generally, but the ‘optics’ of this side are just awful. The golf, the scooters, a pillow, the lack of practice games, the chippy interviews, the coach with his feet up chewing away like a goat on the balcony.

Get away with that when you win series, not so much when you don’t.

I think English cricket also suffers from mass indifference from the casual joe public as footy is the main sport and anyone worth any sort of sporting talent rightly go where the money is. England do well considering how much people in this country generally don't give a toss unfortunately.

I’ve been surprised that there’s a similar indifference here with a lot of Aussies. AFL is undisputed king.

So we need a big opening partnership, Root and Brook to get 100's, Stokes and Smith to get 50's and another 50-100 runs from Jacks, Pope and the bowlers.

As if we are going to match Aussies score

Gotta hope for the best mate, it's sport... not feeling likely though
