Luke O'Nien

Is there a video anywhere of the immediate post-match scenes? Sky didn't show much and I missed this as my mrs was wittering on about something for once.

Drunk me seemingly over hyped it  its nice but not overly emotional

Joyce the chef who the club have done a few articles about and featured on STID broke her leg a couple of years ago and Luke went round hers almost every other day just to bring her shopping and other bits and bobs

I know this as a fact as I know her son pretty well.

When I asked her son why Luke was doing it and not him he said it’s because he lives in Middlesbrough 😂

Just shows the character of Luke O’Nien really and not many footballers would do stuff like that.
Great story, is Joyce still around the club? She was actually the character I was most interested in STID, such a genuine lovely person.

I reckon if Isidor scored the late chance, he’d have just dove into the crowd and took a yellow card since he rarely gets on anyways.

Delighted for him.

He'll be useful during AFCON in that I genuinely think he'll be happy to play anywhere when asked. Maybe's this is part of his journey, from CM to CB and now CB to RW :)

Said it yesterday, I think RLB will be bringing on O'nien , Rigg, possibly Neil and Mayenda, deffo geertruida in the next few games to get them into the swing of things for when they are needed . He can do it at his own pace right now, rather than be forced into it during Afcon
