Luke O'Nien

I was so pleased to see him come on at the home of the current champions and help us come away with a share of the spoils. Nobody at the club deserved time on the pitch yesterday more than Luke.

Was fantastic to see him on there tonight. He looked buzzing at the end when he came over.

LO9 is one of the few PL players who can pat his club badge and be genuine doing it.
Yeah he was smiling from ear to ear after FT, and rightly so.

Looking forward to that first PL appearance at the SOL now.

I wonder all those years ago when we had parkinson and old salmon pants and dopey donald was in charge...that he would be here to see the transfomation we have achieved

Let's not forget when he signed he'd not even kicked a ball in league 1, he'd only ever played in league 2

A lad who joined us when we were at our lowest with the aim of getting us back where we belong.

Last night he achieved what he came here to do. Love the bloke me
If he'd worn our kit for one season as squad in div 1 hed have told people for the rest of his days " i was at Sunderland " with pride .
Well now he can tell them about the time he took care of Salah at Anfield under the lights for us in the PL too.
Well done kid.

Was that his John Macphail moment or is there more to come from 09 ?
I think he may be first defensive sub during AFCON.

Back 4 of Mukiele, Ballard, Alderete, Hume with Geertruida playing in midfield. So Luke will be on for any of the back 4 should the need arise, or if RLB decides he needs to bring on a 5th defender during the game.

I realise I am overlooking Cirkin here.
