A goal to grace any level of football.
What a strike. Tranmere were woeful and we had 6 players missing, suspension, injuries and 2 ill.
First time that team had played together. First half we were slow and ponderous.
Second better whilst not at our very best. Tranmere deserved nothing yet nearly got a point from a lucky deflection. Then the goal of absolute beauty.⚽️

You got the win which is superb given what you mention, it's purely about getting the job done and the three points are in Swindon's pot. Great goals/scrappy scruffy ones/flukes all count the same. MK & Salford missed out on points.

Sign of a decent side at any level is picking up points when not at their best.

Put out a strong side in fairness and that result put us top of the Group as had to win by 2 clear goals.
Drinan hat trick but still suspended for the League and picked up another 2 injuries.

We are down to the bare bones away at Fleetwood Saturday.
Not good and the League has to remain priority.

I noticed you'd picked up more injury.

All you can do is win your own games, the league should be your priority and Fleetwood is still winnable game with the right attitude & application - even a point gets you something out of it. I'm pretty sure IH will have his plans for the game worked out and I think you seem to have a squad built to cover eventualities. He may even be using his backs-to-the-wall talk to get a bit more out of his players.

Regretfully I have to catch 3 trains tomorrow to get to Fleetwood.
If only the black pig was available to sail with Captain Pugwash.
If I have to endure that theme tune numerous times tomorrow then I know it’s going to be a bad day.

Train travel is excellent providing the plans all come together 🤣

How some of the lower end clubs exist is sometimes beyond me. It's a totally different world outside of the well funded prem level.
