Looks like only the 8pm after the match is 4 carriages

Time is that one usually?fingers crossed the Grand Central after the game will be running![]()
1731, scheduled to run...Time is that one usually?
LinkI've just read an article on the BBC website. The New Northumberland Line is being allocated additional carriages at busy times. One of the busy times mentioned is when Newcastle United are playing home fixtures.
Unbelievable Jeff
Where are they finding these additional coaches from?
Sorry can't link article, I'm sure some clever type will find it and link.

It probably is asking too much. Not as easy as some people think.Looks like the 22:06 is the last northern servicing heading towards Teesside on Monday night.
Anyone risking it? With VAR, you might have to end up leaving the game on 75 minutes to make the train!
Said this plenty of times, but why can’t they look at events/fixtures and put extra trains on to meet demand?
A 10:30pm service surely isn’t asking too much?
Doubt this would happen down south!

Northern also sent me an email this morning asking me to rate their punctuality on their services![]()

I was referring to the overcrowding on the Durham Coast line, particularly when SAFC have a home fixture for which little has been done for many years. The main reason given being lack of rolling stock, which you yourself have mentioned. There's 3 trains on the Ashington Line, there's like 10 trains on the Durham Line - that's the difference. Just saying.
Haven’t a clue mateHow many rooms has it got?
Might be busy.

We now have a situation whereby a new (old) line has identified a similar situation when NUFC have a home fixture and suddenly additional rolling stock appears to be available.
Where are they coming from and why were they not available previously on the coast line.
Just saying
Just for clarity I'm a simple fella who has little knowledge of how railway companies function, unlike yourself.
