That’s true enough but they are held every two years so it’s not as if he’d never get the chance to play in one again. There’s also the small matter of a World Cup in 8 or so months so he’d still have a chance to represent his country in a tournament this year.Afcon is massive for him, far bigger than playing club football. Like saying an England player should pull out of the Euros so he can be fully fit and rested for the new season.
If he has any chance of playing he will go.
Absolutely this. And no way are Senegal not calling him up tbhAfcon is massive for him, far bigger than playing club football. Like saying an England player should pull out of the Euros so he can be fully fit and rested for the new season.

I dont know their options tbh but yes he starts all their gamesWhat are Senegal's CM options like as things stand? Is Habib an automatic starter if fit?

It's massive for the African players. It'll be his full focusDiarra isnt missing AFCON like. It's a huge competition.
Not sure if true or not but I have heard that Dan Neil's family tree means.......................ah it doesn't matterWhat are Senegal's CM options like as things stand? Is Habib an automatic starter if fit?
Exactly mate. It's massive for the African players. It'll be his full focus
Isn’t it like the African version of the euros? It's massive for the African players. It'll be his full focus
No I think it’s the one they all care about the most. It’s really important to themIsn’t it like the African version of the euros?
So do they just give up on the World Cup? Suppose they don’t have much chance of winning it like.No I think it’s the one they all care about the most. It’s really important to them
No but as you say, it’s an entirely different thing really. Means more to Africa generally the AFCON as you’d expect but yeah the World Cup isn’t quite the same for them.So do they just give up on the World Cup? Suppose they don’t have much chance of winning it like.
Agree with this like. To be fair if they're taking him in the hopes he can play in the knockout stage that might be decent for us. Rather than us having to give him minutes as the gets up to speed we can let them do that, and hopefully he's back here in the new year fully match fitTo be honest if he’s fit for AFCON I wouldn’t expect him to miss it if I take my Sunderland glasses off
It’s huge for them, international football is massive for them
Why? Good chance he isnt fit on 14th December but might be fit on January 1st.The good thing is, if he’s fit enough to be going over there he should be fit enough to face the mags. I’d take that. What would annoy a lot of people is if he’s ’not Fit to fave the mags’ yet still travels!!

Or even if he’s 90% fit he’s probably going. If he's back fully training then he's going
