Diarra out till December

Talbi covers a hell of a lot of ground offensively and defensively. He would have done a much better job defensively helping our full back.
Fair, and I'm amazed we didn't start him, but he'd have been on the right wouldn't he? I think adingra deserved a start, not that I'd necessarily have given him it today like

I was just gobsmacked Le Bris didn't set us up to frustrate the crowd and their team, considering Amorin's job was on the line.
Same. I would definitely have started Talbi, for the work rate and defence if nowt else. Adingra on the left I was less worried about, but him and masuaku were always likely to be a weakness on the left if masuaku is shit at defending, which it seems he may be. At the same time, if it's right that Rigg hasn't trained well, I can understand dropping him and moving Le Fee there, but whatever the reasoning it certainly didn't work. Still, we all get things wrong from time to time, just annoying there's another break now, want the wolves game to be next weekend!

I was surprised to see him not start.

In Barnes’ shoes, the first question I’d ask is what the thinking was behind the switch of Traoré for Talbi
I was gobsmacked tbh like.

Yeah, agree mate. It's a shame that we have to wait 2 weeks now. Le Bris hasn't got many things wrong so it's a pass from me on today's selection. I'm more disappointed we seemed overawed at times.

Its a massive blow like. Rigg will not be able to do it week in week out i suspect and most of Le Fee's beat games come out on the left. The manager clearly doesn't think Neil is good enough and geertruida is mainly a defender.

We didn't seem anywhere near as physical as we have been. The whole thing just seemed off.

Yeah I agree. I'm not going to criticise them too much for a defeat at old Trafford but after villa one of the things I was most happy about was the absolute size of their balls. To play like that when down to ten took massive bollocks. Shame we didn't whip our knackers out today, but one of those days, and at least even when we were poor we still weren't out of the game

That's bang on what we were saying at the game and everyone here on the coach is saying. We weren't as aggressive or got about them as we have in the other games. Strange.

Agreed Mowgli

Yeah, agree mate. Brand new team nigh on...6 games in. We would have taken this start no problem...i'm just frustrated we didn't show what we were about today on a big stage. It definitely got to some of them today, the size of the occasion and Old Trafford, 100%.

Habib Diarra’s recovery from groin surgery remains on track, although the midfielder is expected to be sidelined for at least another month-and-a-half

“And with Habib, we are thinking the beginning of December or maybe the middle.” confirmed Le Bris

Surely won't be going to AFCON?

Hopefully he doesn't, but a big difference returning beginning and middle or December as he'd be fit to go the former
Some players are selected and taken when inured in hope they will be fit during the competition, so very possible he will leave.
