Only thing got my goat with RLB was when we went into at least a one goal lead if not two

He’d sit back & defend rather than gan for the jugular

But never wanted him out

Unfortunately footy not played on paper
I always thought that was too simple and unfair a judgement.

I remember a lot of games we had chances to put teams to bed and didn't take them. That naturally led to some nervy finishes.

We lacked a bit of depth and experience, and that spate of late goals conceded got into our heads a bit.

I don't think it was ever really a fault of Le Bris' gameplan. If anything, he tried to counter it as best he could with what was available.

The best form of defence is not attack. Never has been. And we were an easy team to counter against. Sometimes you just have to try and see a game out.

We finished 4th and won the play-offs. I think he's vindicated.

If things turn to $hit with us I have no doubt there’d be many ( not all ) would be expressing similar sentiments
Most were delighted initially with Moyes but by Xmas he was devil incarnate
Surprised the club gave him an extension till 2028 tbh. Things can and do change awfully quickly. If he stopped getting a tune out of the squad what would be the point?

Protects us if someone comes sniffing whilst his stock's high.

Stops another Alex Neil situation developing.

They’ve been awful so far, so you can understand why some of the fans are pissed off.

It’s probably a minority that want Emery out, I’m sure most of them see the good he’s done so far.

RLB has plenty of credit in the bag. But yes it’s possible he could be gone before the end of the season if we were struggling and the owners thought a new manager bounce might keep us in the league.

I think our style in the PL might go against RLB into the medium term. It’s going to be combative and defensive and we’re not going to score many goals. That works fine when drawing or leading but I wonder how we’ll get on in games we fall behind in. I’m not sure there is a plan B. Let’s hope plan A is sufficient to get us the points that we need.

It just shows how fickle fans can be, rewind a couple of years back and they were one of the best teams in the league, qualified for the champions League and the only way looked up. Now they've flogged a load of players and haven't won a game.
To comply with PSR. How do you think we are going to manage the situation. We spend all our PSR money in 1 go. If we stay up we need to sell what we brought in. And then not be able to buy nobody for 2 seasons.

Just like they are.

If another club, a really big club with masses of money , comes along, a contract means nothing. Besides why would you want to hold onto someone who wants away?
Equally why persist for another 3 years or so with someone who might be failing
Einstein s theory of insanity

Incorrect. The contract means you'll get more compo.

As I say, it protects us.
