Villa forum

"We also supposedly have an elite manager but that is looking more and more disputed by the week as he’s not getting a tune out of any of these players.

If we don’t win this game I’ll certainly be pushing for a managerial change, we shouldn’t be doing as badly as this."

Just sums up modern football fans and their attitude towards managers/head coaches.

I'm shocked there's even a discussion of Emery losing his job.

Bloody hell a few of them really are turning on Emery too, now that really IS bed wetting!!!:lol:
It just shows how fickle fans can be, rewind a couple of years back and they were one of the best teams in the league, qualified for the champions League and the only way looked up. Now they've flogged a load of players and haven't won a game.

Few were wanting RLB out on here even during the Coventry Semi ffs 😂

Don’t believe me read the match thread or probably better not
I know.

The thing is, a manager will have his dissenters even at the very best of times. There were a few posters on here last season who never took to Regis, and couldn't wait to stick the boot in when results slid. It'll be the same at Villa. Probably people who didn't want that manager in the first place, and possibly doubled down on their opinion of him.

That dissent will always be there, and once there's a few bad results, their voices get louder and some people start nodding along.

Whether they're right or wrong is up for debate, but from the outside looking in I certainly wouldn't be calling for Emery's head, but nowt would shock me if he toppled.

A few might dig me out here for my stance on Mowbray, though I think I was fair.

Lee Johnson I was completely right about all along.

Was it the season after winning the league ranieri was sacked or was it 2 after? I can't even remember now, but it's mental like

Only thing got my goat with RLB was when we went into at least a one goal lead if not two

He’d sit back & defend rather than gan for the jugular

But never wanted him out
No complacency here. When I look at their side on paper they have some very good players.
Unfortunately footy not played on paper

Can't remember that happening during the semi final but it certainly did happen during the last 5 league games

They want him off wage list but seemingly his wages are too much for many clubs

Aye he even did a whole teary eyed lap of the ground at the end of last season but all his moves fell through

That Bizot looked poor first game of the season, would have much rather they had to play him
