It's still a bit early to get into any rhythm but it's all about putting things into place for what's ahead, job well done for Swindon, SAFC & Pools. More long journeys aplenty so enjoy the home comforts you travelllers!Typical Swindon.
We’ve not started a game well all season however today the first 25 mins we were very good and should have been out of sight.
Two of our best players in midfield missing today and therefore had to move a few players around. Equally second half we looked a little leggy. Second half against Cardiff midweek we put a real shift in.
Oldham never really threatened although second half we were poor and with only one goal ahead could have lost an important away win.
508 faithful for an early kick off on SKY not bad in fairness.
We have a few young players making their senior debuts this season and can only think they will continue to improve. Evidently we’ve turned down a £300k bid from a Danish League Two side for Harry Smith. Out an out tall centre forward and utilised as a centre half when seeing out games. That was deployed this afternoon.
Two home games now before another early kick off arghhhh away at Crewe.
The battle of the steam trains.
Incredible result for Sunderland, a decent win for Hartlepool and a point for the Cumbrians. A warm day in Oldham though is a rare occasion and any snow or ice had well and truly melted at Ice Station Zebra.
An enjoyable away day for sure.
