Cask is best for any style in my eyes, though I'll admit cask lager isn't the one! Fortunately cask in Manchester is mostly excellent everywhere you go, it's in really good health. Outside of Manchester though I've learned it's always worth asking for a taster just to check it's in good nick. If it's not up to scratch I'll reluctantly go keg.
Just had a few pints in the Arts Centre in Washy. Went last year and it was bang on. Every pint tonight was shite. Double Maxim on the turn so slightly acidic, Landlord slightly oxidised so tasted like cardboard. Guinness poured like it had been dropped off Niagra Falls. Heartbroken.

I'm guessing Rehills in Jesmond, but there's a few options online. House of Trembling Madness is one I use a lot. Locally, and often good value but a smaller choice, look at Hops at Home

The likes of Rehills and the odd supermarket. I tend to order direct from the brewers and Trembling Madness and Leftfield beer too.

Looking forward to it. My mates got on the bigg’uns early on last year, which was silly, but made me jealous, so I joined in. Would like a more sensible approach this year.
Good thing about the first session, there was a few beers they ran out of last year I missed out on. Shouldn’t be a problem on Friday
