Cover for when - pre-season? Nothing at all has confirmed Patto will miss any of the season but if it turns out he is and is going to be out for a substantial chunk of the season then that'd be for Le Bris and the others to decide but I dare say there's a good chance they would look to bring in another one

Sort of, but IF we stay up, the amount we can lose on PSR will increase so we’ll end up being way under it as it will go off two years premier league and one year championship rather than two champ and one prem as it is this year

Then we’ll get a whole load more revenue too

Cover until he's available, I'm sure RLB said he was being rested when they were out in Portugal to avoid burnout, seems odd he's still missing. If he is injured and needing an operation then he may well be out for a while if for example it was a hernia or shoulder op.

If it isn't the above I'd imagine he's off and we'll need a number 2 but you already knew that.

Agreed. The thread mentions sorting his feet out which I noticed in one of the youtube videos. He's incredibly quick off his line, quick to scramble across goal to shut down shots at the back post and gets his feet sorted really well for "normal" saves. It's that stuff which can be the building blocks of a top keeper.

I looked at the "player performance index" in that streamlitapp we mentioned upthread and he performs really well. He's obviously had a superb season

Best 2 goalkeepers we’ve had in the past 30 years are Shay Given and Tommy Sorensen. Given had played 5 League 2 games before he joined us, and Tommy had played 6 Danish Division 1 and 45 Danish Division 2 games before he joined us.

His euros was great

Couple shaky goals against Finland but then after that wa superb too
