Boro thread

Have Boro got a manager ?

I may have missed any announcement on account of only following Premier League football these days.
Just seen their new manager is Rob Edwards

Boro fans can look forward to a continuation of the bitter after match interviews, and their team doing a lap of honour when they are beaten at home.

Not heard of anyone ?
Mind they seem to have hung on to their “ top “ players so far.
They finished just outside the play offs last year -is the league stronger than when we went up ?-not sure in all honesty
They shouldn’t be far away with some good recruitment.

I think it is. Ipswich and Southampton are coming down in relatively good shape to be back in the race for promotion. Leicester are a bit of a basket case but still have some decent players. Birmingham and Wrexham are coming up from League 1 and will be competing for the same standard of players as Boro are, Birmingham maybe even aiming higher than Boro can get. Coventry and Sheffield Utd will also be there.

Luton manager wasn't it? Plenty of relegation experience.

In fairness, for his Premier League relegation, he was shafted by the absence of a backroom staff at Luton.

They only really had a chairman and no DoF. Back office had barely grown since their austere non league days. As well as signings for his newly promoted club, the chairman was also project managing a stadium build and renovations on the Kenny.

Having said all that, their relegation from the Championship was a shocking performance.

Can you not count 🤣
Oh dear.
Seems it isn't ME that can't count.

If you count the loans (none of whom were ever long term) , it's actually seven.

But, in reality we've actually only 'lost' two of our players.
Neither have been regulars in our team.
One was sold (after being out on loan the best part of 2 seasons)
The other one's contract was up and was never getting kept on.

So, In reality , we haven't actually 'lost' anybody up to now.
Unlike Sunderland.

So, 2 + 5 (loanees) doesn't actually add up to 5.
Can't you not count ?

You really should learn to do so if you're gonna attempt to take the piss.

Well done 👍
