Durham v Sussex (h) C.C.

I think we are doing ok here. Sussex bowled well. Delighted to see Clarky delivering again. Could be an interesting day tomorrow. Bizarre the weather today mind but hopefully it continues to remain dry.

I reckon we’re slight favourites, given that only 15 wickets have fallen across two days and Sussex are still a further 15 wickets from victory. It’s easier to see a scenario where Sussex lose than one in which they win, but this morning is absolutely crucial. If we’re still batting at lunch, we’ll be in decent fettle I reckon.

In my opinion the way for Durham to get a positive result is to fall about 50 short, get 2 batting points and hope Sussex declare to set Durham a realistic run chase in the final 2 sessions tomorrow

Bank of threatening clouds rolling in from the west now.

We thought it was strange that Archer had a chair next to the boundary rope and sat on it between overs. If he was that worn out the Sussex captain should have told him to go to the dressing room especially for the last 10 overs or so where he still could come back to bowl today.

Feels like a good bowling morning, hopefully those clouds move away in the next hour.

It’ll be interesting to see how Archer bowls today and also how he is used, I’m fairly certain he’ll have a bit of soreness in his muscles this morning so I suspect overcoming that will be his biggest challenge.

It was one of the groundsmen's chairs. No way should he be considered for test match duty yet as some are suggesting.

Any weather updates?
