Durham v Sussex (h) C.C.

Pleased for Clark that he got the half century, but it's been difficult this morning due to good bowling. Hopefully the ball will deteriorated soon.

This is very good aggressive bowling from Robinson and Archer

I think Sussex as a collective have bowled very well the entire innings. Sandhu has been impressive too.

Another fifteen minutes or so to survive and their main quicks will rest.
Heavy rain falling currently in Sherburn.

Serious question - why do Durham employ commentators who don’t understand the rules of cricket?

“Drissell wasn’t playing a shot, so why is it four leg byes?”

Ridiculous.
The classic was Thorpe in the last home CC game against Somerset when it took him 20 mins to realise that the batsman at the crease want the one he thought it was.

I have to watch the home streams on mute now with the in-house commentary, they could at least do a bit of research and provide some stats to make up for the lack of cricket knowledge.

You all don't know the rules it seems?

The umpire can rule it a dead ball if no attempt is made to play a ball and you run a leg bye or a bye.

I didn't see the bit of play so I dunno whether this was relevant or not.

Disappointing innings really, some many got starts but got out without kicking on. But unless another Sussex batsmen has a big innings in them I still fancy us
