Is that right? Nuts.We paid UEFA for Isidor. They hold onto the money until a time they see fit to release it to Russian clubs.

I’ve said from the very start - I’d have Hendo back in a heartbeat!Would you have Henderson back?
The more I think about this the more sense it makes.
Ha'way Jordan lad.
So to summarize.I don't usually comment on football matters on here (as I'm a mag) .... I'm only really interested in the political discussion not footie .
But I'll say this :-
I've been a Newcastle supporter since I was a nipper, when I used to squeeze in free with my late old man - I used to stand on the old Leazes End as a 12 year old with my mates , ...and I followed the team around the country as a teenager ( when we were absolutely dreadful)
So, I supported the team through thick & thin. Not the ownership - and nothing will ever change that.
You won't find any statements from me in favour of PIF part-ownership ( or Ashley or John Hall for that matter ).
A football team / club belongs to its fans - not ( apart from in a strictly financial sense ) - to the latest transient owners.
But we can find several statements from Henderson about supporting LBG (... and we can see him wearing rainbowcoloured laces ffs ).
For him to ignore that past - and go play in Saudi makes him a hypercrit imho.
And now he gets a "yes " from you ?
Given all you've said![]()
They used to allow 2 kids to squeeze together through the paddock turnstiles back in 70s .WHAT! Ripping your club off, squeezing in for free. No wonder they've never had any cash to win a trophy for 70 years till the money laundering Saudis showed up.
My point was that we are all only responsible for our own words or actionsWait. So you're allowed to say "I just support the club not the owners" and that gives you a pass
But if Henderson signs for Sunderland, the fans' ethics are compromised. They're not allowed to just support their club Is that right?
Even though we all saw the Celebrations for the takeover with the towels on head, the national team playing at your stadium and the frequent visits to Saudi. Keith downie crying in tv.

Not fussed about Henderson for the reasons you've mentioned and I know plenty of folk who are a definite no on that subject. I acknowledged that he would be a good signing for us, even if only for one season. He could really help Chris Rigg and Dan Neil, if Dan Neil is still our player. Fingers crossed we don't get carried away in the transfer market and stick to the model acquiring the right characters along with the manager's needs.I would love Henderson to come back but we can’t deny the fact that going to Saudi wasn’t a good look and a bit of a hypocritical move by him.
I agree it was both hypocritical and greedy for him to go to Saudi. I didn't agree with it. But he turned his back on them after a few months. He made a mistake, I will give him the benefit of doubt for undoing his mistake quickly.I don't usually comment on football matters on here (as I'm a mag) .... They still do. But I don't believe Hendo has apologised, has he?There used to be a time where if you made a mistake, owned up to it, and apologised - people would accept it and move on.
It's about leadership and him going in to management,He's passed it now. It's time to move on.
If he turned us down in the championship, but is interested now- I don't think he has realistic expectations regarding what his role might be in a competitive premier league side.
