Jordan Henderson (signed for Brentford)

Just read through 6 pages about Saudi sports washing, us buying Isidor from Russia, but skipped over the LGBQT and Sharia rights bollocks

Can anyone tell me yet if the club actually wants to bring Henderson back? Or is it just fairytale stuff made up that has run riot?
It's very likely

I don't usually comment on football matters on here (as I'm a mag) .... I'm only really interested in the political discussion not footie .

But I'll say this :-

I've been a Newcastle supporter since I was a nipper, when I used to squeeze in free with my late old man - I used to stand on the old Leazes End as a 12 year old with my mates , ...and I followed the team around the country as a teenager ( when we were absolutely dreadful)

So, I supported the team through thick & thin. Not the ownership - and nothing will ever change that.

You won't find any statements from me in favour of PIF part-ownership ( or Ashley or John Hall for that matter ).

A football team / club belongs to its fans - not ( apart from in a strictly financial sense ) - to the latest transient owners.

But we can find several statements from Henderson about supporting LBG (... and we can see him wearing rainbow 🌈 coloured laces ffs ).

For him to ignore that past - and go play in Saudi makes him a hypercrit imho.

And now he gets a "yes " from you ?

Given all you've said 🤔
I can see why you don’t comment here often…. Biggest load of hypocrisy I’ve ever seen.

It’s okay for you to be ran by the state but it’s not okay for another team to have someone who played there?

Back to the “political discussions” please.

Is every player who ever played in Saudi now off limits, or just Henderson?
Exactly, would people turn down Kante or Mane? I think there's a small percentage who aren't for us signing him, but the vast majority are imo

I thought he looked an idiot going there. The fact he quite quickly changed his mind and left is in his favour.
Football’s full of folk prostituting themselves.
Doesn’t change the fact clubs shouldn’t be ran by sovereign states.

According to skysports we are not interested in signing him this summer
That’s not what Downie said. He said we’re not currently pursuing Henderson but could revisit the situation later in the window.

As others have said I’ve no doubt he knows very, very little about the clubs transfer plans.

I don't think it's a transfer we need to pursue right away either, it's not like he'd need any real convincing to come

That's downie, who knows less than my next door neighbor's cat.
Yea your neighbors cat is a Black Cat….My guess is Henderson will come to Sunderland closer to the end of the window on a 1 year deal with an option 2nd year. We pay high wages from August through June thus we don’t want show interest early in the summer transfer market plus we might find some great other options and might not need his services
