Kent Mackem is a far left, LGBTI activist - just hasn’t got the courage to come out and say!Marra, you're losing the plot here and spoiling the thread.
What? This is bordering on the insane! You haven't answered the question though....
I guess you would have celebrated like a mag with tea towel on your head if the Saudi regime had bought Sunderland instead of Newcastle United then?
You carry on mate.... you'll need to forgive me though as I need to return to completing my VAT return for the business I set up 20 years ago, and pay my employees. You admire Angela Rayner and Gary Lineker - left wing, woke, never created a job in his life, never ran a business - when do I stop?
But some of the young lads we have won't be. Ergo he'll have advice for them. It's a job at the end of the day.Henderson was already set up for life. He didn't need to drop his admirable ethical stance. That s my point.
And yes, no doubt you will. If I do stop my 40 year stretch of closely following and supporting Sunderland that will be for me, not for you.
I think somebody is on commission to keep the thread going. Probably half of the posts from one poster. What’s gannin on here?
Mods should lock the thread now, folk loosing the plot over Hendo potentially coming back man![]()
We're discussing something that's hypothetical anyway as we've nee idea whether JH is even remotely interested in joining us. Nor do we know if the club and the coach think he's a good fit either.Kent Mackem is a far left, LGBTI activist - just hasn’t got the courage to come out and say!
He’s no Sunderland fan!
We need to stand up for Hendo - hate to see people ripping into a Sunderland legend with such personal, vile, toxic attacks! He’s no Sunderland fan !I think somebody is on commission to keep the thread going. Probably half of the posts from one poster.

Au revoir! You carry on mate.... you'll need to forgive me though as I need to return to completing my VAT return for the business I set up 20 years ago, and pay my employees.
I can see I am in the minority here and I don't wish to spoil the thread . Apologies to those people that think I have done so. This will be the last post for me on this thread.
I've made my points and backed them up with evidence. It's not for me to try to control other people's behaviour. We can only make our own decisions based on our own ethics, morals and principles.
Interesting that you choose to use 'woke' as an insult and yet want people to 'stand up for Hendo', a man who was a big supporter of rainbow laces etcWe need to stand up for Hendo - hate to see people ripping into a Sunderland legend with such personal, vile, toxic attacks! He’s no Sunderland fan !
I think there's a really difficult question in there for a lot of us.You haven't answered the question though....
I guess you would have celebrated like a mag with tea towel on your head if the Saudi regime had bought Sunderland instead of Newcastle United then?
I said I was out but I can't resist replyingYou are not grasping the basics - he is playing for a private club in Saudi - not the government. Do you condemn Isador for playing for a private club in Russia? Please answer - as I’ve seen no condemnation from you.
Many others didn't as you only have to read through the older threadsYes, I forgave him as soon as he realised he'd made a terrible mistake and told them stuff their money.

Could he have said no to being the Saudi glove puppet or was he too poor at the time?Sorry but no I wouldn’t as I don’t care. They are footballers not my family. Firstly if a player wants to earn as much money as possible then fair play to them, in no other career do people get scrutinised for this, I work in non-league football and it’s the same just a much smaller scale.
Secondly Henderson was asked due to his position within football. Why would he say no to what he perceived to be a good cause, saying no would have been worse for him.
I have no problem with anyone wearing laces and standing up for members of the LGBTI community in places where they are condemned and even hung! That simply called being a humanitarian. Woke to me is being blindly wedded to calling out out discrimination against certain cohorts - whilst turning a blind eye to the same injustices amongst other groups.Interesting that you choose to use 'woke' as an insult and yet want people to 'stand up for Hendo', a man who was a big supporter of rainbow laces etc
^^^^^^Out of all the crap going on in the world I don't think Henderson running off to Saudi Arabia to play football and then regretting it is much of an issue.
If a local lad of his calibre wants to come back to Sunderland it would be daft to snub him for a moral purpose. We are talking about lads playing football it doesn't really need to go any deeper than that.
