Shows the gulf / how much ground we've got to make up on the others really, when clubs like Bournemouth are selling players for 60m to Real Madrid. Crazy times.they’ve just sold someone to Madrid for €50m so will have their eyes on better than Mepham.
The leagues a very different one from the one we left that’s for sure. It was the top four then the rest back then. Now bar the bottom three that were shite every club can beat anyone on their day.Shows the gulf / how much ground we've got to make up on the others really, when clubs like Bournemouth are selling players for 60m to Real Madrid. He’s played for a newly promoted club who did exactly thatGreat championship player, but I wouldn’t be confident if we signed him for premier league survival.
Doesn't he have some of the best stats in the league for recovery tackles? I'm sure I read that somewhere.Eh? Jobe tracks back and hoys loads of tackles in
It's one of the best parts of his game. Cannot believe what some people see on the pitchDoesn't he have some of the best stats in the league for recovery tackles? I'm sure I read that somewhere.
When have you ever seen Jobe chase back and put a tackle in?
His whole game seems to be receive the ball in midfield and either feint forward and turn backwards and pass to the centre halves.
Pass to the wing.
Slows the attack, cannot break quickly.
Cannot get box to box.
But he’s still a kid, probably needs a decent coach to give him a kick up the arse ( not Dodds).
This. They wanted what - £10m in January? It’ll be next to nothing now, for a lad with plenty of recent Premier League experience.Sign him…
Too busy going in for a piss & a pint on the 30 minute mark I reckon (and beating traffic at the end). It's one of the best parts of his game. Cannot believe what some people see on the pitch
Also 60+ recent Premier League appearances. We’d be daft not to take him imo as it would be pennies, he’s proved he can do it at the level and he wouldn’t need time to settle inWelsh International, big player for us off the field, for the cost it’s a yes from me. Him and Henderson would bring a lot of experience and know how
to our squad on and add the field.
Spot-onI would bring Mepham in tbh. We need two CBs so him coming in would fill one space and leave room to try and spend money on a first choice CB to pair with Ballard. Mepham and O Nien would be fine back ups for a team getting promoted.
Fair enough, but I do believe the league has changed since then. I personally wouldn’t be to confident if we signed him, I don’t think teams like Leeds or Burnley would be looking at him so why should we? I think we can get much better, but we will see. He’s played for a newly promoted club who did exactly that
We are going to need at least four so, an experienced one at this level for next to nowt is a no brainer imoFair enough, but I do believe the league has changed since then. And keep Alese?I would bring Mepham in tbh. We need two CBs so him coming in would fill one space and leave room to try and spend money on a first choice CB to pair with Ballard. Mepham and O Nien would be fine back ups for a team getting promoted.
Played very well in play off finalI can't believe the drop off in his performances in the second half of the season. He looked so imperious at times, but now resembles a bog standard Championship defender. Bizarre.
Would Ballard alongside him help raise his game or should he be on the bench for the playoffs?
All the timeWhen have you ever seen Jobe chase back and put a tackle in?
I think it’s a no brainer to have him in the squad. Loads of experience at prem level and knows the club, manager etc. He’s played over 60 games in the prem. played 26 games when Bournemouth were a newly promoted side and stayed up
