Jordan Henderson (signed for Brentford)

I wouldn’t go that far, he also has offers from Serie A too.

Im including myself in this btw but he will have much better offers and he will want to remain in the England squad more than anything

He’s playing at a much higher level than people are giving him credit for
I'm not debating that. I'm just saying that he's looking at options because the club want him to go. It's one of the reasons the manager quit last week as he disagreed on it.

They want him off the wage bill. He nearly went to France in January. Not saying he'll definitely sign but I can see why there could be a chance... he's going to want to play most weeks at a decent level to try and go to the world cup

Ah fair play

I just can’t see anything stopping him coming back, and coming back at a cut price we can afford.

Sorry, but this is his club and always has been. He’s been at basically every major game we’ve had over the years since he left that didn’t clash with his own clubs commitments. And we’re all Sunderland fans, if you’d done everything else in the game why wouldn’t you want to be back here.

Of course, however why would a club legend who obviously loves the club rip off the club just because he has taken the Saudi dollar? That’s not Jordan’s style especially with his love of SAFC
It's a opinion ,but for me taking saudi money says more about his morals ,I've no doubt he loves the club .After all we all make a lot of noise about the ownership of our neighbours and Saudi sportswashing

Known throughout football and the perfect professional, has kept himself in top condition from being a young traiinee right through his carreer, the type of player that will play on passed the usual footballing years and will give his all.
Top that with his experience and ability is a no brainer

Football and this place is all about opinions, and I feel you are way off kilter on this 1 due to your dislike of our noisy neighbours, rather than the mutual love of JH

I could see this one happening tbf. I think it could work for both parties. We need some real quality and he would add that. Even if it’s just for a year or two. Would be a low cost deal too. I’d like to see it happen.

So be it but for me we can't criticise the skunks for being bankrolled by the riyal ,and give Henderson a pass on playing a part in sportswashing .It's my perogative to not want Henderson back .That said there would be no way it would effect my support of the lads .If I'm out of kilter I care not we all have different values

He played 3239 mins for them out of a possible 4050 mins in games he featured in this season(45).

So he played the equivalent of 36 games this season and captained in most of them. Not really sure what point your making.
There was also a point late in this season where the only games they had lost throughout the season was when Henderson wasn’t playing.
I haven’t checked to see if that continued or not.

On the other hand while I agree with you it was poor showing his antics going there it's hardly the same and at just it's whataboutry from them lot

He has wanted to come back since Liverpool mate, obviously the money over Saudi turned his head aswel. I would take him in a heartbeat. His experience would be invaluable and the standards he would set around the club on and off the pitch.

...exactly what I have just posted aswel  👍 we need experience desperately for the challenge ahead.
Exactly that, it’s the standards that he would instill into the squad. Leading by example and sharing his knowledge and experience.
If there is the remotest opportunity, we should be all over it.

I get what you are saying NOW however I was questioning what you said earlier … here “My opinion anyone who took saudi coin ,would just come here and rip as much out the club as possible” …. 2 very different points
