Striker
I'll be amazed if he doesn't come back. It is the most sensible and obvious signing we could possibly make.

He went to help his mate and mentor Steve Gerrard. I'm almost certain he doesn't go without him being there. Henderson certainly paid the price for it in the media. Let it go man, he is one of us.I get what you are saying NOW however I was questioning what you said earlier … here “My opinion anyone who took saudi coin ,would just come here and rip as much out the club as possible” …. 2 very different points
Sure he left us for Liverpool mind.I just can’t see anything stopping him coming back, and coming back at a cut price we can afford.
Sorry, but this is his club and always has been.
I realise what you say ,however I'm of the opinion that a person who would do that without apology is capable of doing anything for money .I'm not saying he would rip us off ,just that I would be wary of him .On a plus I'm glad we can air our opinions in a civil mannerI get what you are saying NOW however I was questioning what you said earlier … here “My opinion anyone who took saudi coin ,would just come here and rip as much out the club as possible” …. 2 very different points
This for me as wellI was initially thinking “nah”…but, squad player, great to have around the younger players to bring them on, no transfer fee, possible coaching role. Positives outweigh the negatives by a country mile…
Exactly what Brighton did so well with Wellbeck, Milner, Lallana. We need our model complemented by top level experience. So he’s good enough to be in and around the England squad but not for us ? Yeah ok.
“The model” won’t keep us up. Without genuine older heads with actual experience we will struggle. So unless we’re accepting relegation expect some older players brought in.
FMLWouldnt improve us imo
We will play similar to how we have in the playoffs imo. Can see us being quite structured and we will need some experience likeAt 35 and being away from the PL a number of yrs, I'm thinking of the likes of Casimiro struggling with the pace of the league, and it worries me that he won't have the engine to get about like he did. Let's not forget, he'll be expected to do a lot of heavy work in a side that's just got promoted.
If it comes off and that's what the club want to do then fair enough, but he'll not be cheap and I'd hope that wouldn't come at the cost of some other player/s.

Jack Clarke had offer from Serie A with Lazio but picked Ipswich in the prem instead. Playing week in and out in the prem will be better than the odd champions league games for Ajax, but wasn't there some rule if he came back to England for the next couple of years he would have to repay a fortune in tax to the Saudis in back pay.I wouldn’t go that far, he also has offers from Serie A too.
Im including myself in this btw but he will have much better offers and he will want to remain in the England squad more than anything
He’s playing at a much higher level than people are giving him credit for
Quinn said he had to convince Henderson it was a great move for him and was a good deal for the club!Sure he left us for Liverpool mind.
The three sides that stayed up three seasons ago ( all newly promoted) brought in experience ( especially down the spine ) -watched a podcast on it earlier .I remember thinking Steve Bould was past it when we signed him but his experience helped us stabilise. Hendo would offer us the same been it, seen it and done in mentality. I’m in.
