Jordan Henderson (signed for Brentford)

Im torn

He’s such a good pro that his influence can only be positive

Has he still got it? Tuchel seems to think so like.

I wonder if he would actually fancy it though?
He has wanted to come back since Liverpool mate, obviously the money over Saudi turned his head aswel. I would take him in a heartbeat. His experience would be invaluable and the standards he would set around the club on and off the pitch.
yeah signing a premier league and champions league winning captain who is still a current english international is a bad thing. his experience on and off the pitch would be vital
...exactly what I have just posted aswel  👍 we need experience desperately for the challenge ahead.

You’re right about the standards like, aye I’m probably overthinking it. Probs is a no brainer.
Was at the game grinning like a cheshire cat

Fuckin loved how much ex safc were there, actually really added to how special it was.

He's 35 Yrs old. He wouldn't be able to hack it in the Premier League now man. And what's the point of giving him what would be a shit load of money in wages just to give half time team talks? I'm sure there's better options available to us. Bringing players back rarely works.

yes from me loves the club and when times get tough in the prem, his experience would be extremely valuable.
Let's get Quinny back then

He could comfortably afford to play for nowt if it meant that much to him., having sold his soul to the awabs

If he’s good enough for Tuchel and England he’s good enough for us! His experience and leadership could be the difference.
Tuchel thinks Dan Burn is an international centre half 😁 but I totally agree. How many other clubs would have EPL and ECL winning experience in their dressing room. There are loads of reasons we shouldn't sign players with similar profiles of course having had our fingers burnt in the past but none of those risks apply to Henderson. I'm sure like Jobe he has one eye on the World Cup Finals next summer but unlike Jobe it seems like he's already in Tuchel's plans. Although I'm sure he'd rather him playing in the EPL than the SPL. As others have said might also help in attracting players as well. Apart from the obvious massive error of judgement he's been a model professional.

Jesus. Not again with going back in for ex players who are well past their prime. This shouldn't be us dicking about with ex players, it should be the next phase of the programme, putting proper PL quality into the team to help us stay up. He'd just be another expensive player that can't cut it in the top flight - there's a reason nobody else has signed him.

I'd bring him in tbh like.

Will want to be playing at a good level to try and get to the world cup next year. We need some PL experience to stand any chance

Just not at all what we need. People only want the signing because of where he's from and because of what he achieved 5+ year ago. Really hope it doesn't happen.

'Experience' isnt a reason to sign him, there's quite literally hundreds if not thousands of players we could sign with experience. A lot of them would be closer to what we need in a midfielder than what Henderson would be as well.

I don't think we will sign many players at all that people on here would regard as a proven PL player. We won't pay the money they'd cost in fee or wages imo.

Our bigger money signings will come from abroad with the hope they can have the same impact over here as in the bundesliga or ligue 1.

Eh. His England re-selection was the most mental thing to have done, and he'll bring nowt to England if he plays.

That experience is great, but not as a player
