Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

All these full backs popping up spouting garbage and everyone is sucking it up.
The foreign journos will have been picking their crap up on here man ya knackers and passing it off as "exclusives".
Jesus wept.

1000 followers which says it's definitely on, but if it's not- it definitely was.
Sports journalism especially online is click based. With transfer rumours there is simply more demand for news than actually exists.
The connection between Bellingham and Dortmund is just too easy.
They could have had him for what we paid for him 2 years ago if they'd been tracking him and had this deep.connectiln with his.family
.

I think he’ll be off, and hopefully with the well wishes of the club and fans.

Everything I’ve seen and read from the Wembley match is a feeling it’s “mission complete” on staying around the season to get us over the line and back to the PL.

I suspect he stuck around last summer for one more crack at it, with the provision that we wouldn’t step in the way this year, and that’s why this is all happening so quickly (with all the noise around) been planned for months.

It’ll be good for our FFP situation, and hopefully a good move for him to develop. I’d hope we’ve already identified our own replacement, and can get that over the line quickly.
I agree with all of this but that means his behaviour will also have been a little strange. I know it means nowt in this day and age but how often have been seen him tapping the badge, singing among to STID, WMS and by far the greatest team. His emotion after the semi final, then final. His “best f***ing club in the world man” after the Swansea goal. From that to away within a week of promotion is gutting imo.

You need to chill out mate, this has been going on for weeks. Top sky journos have reported how much Dortmund are pushing for this and are in pole position. This is a German media outlet that has over 300k followers.

No need to call people for sharing reports

I wish Jobe would stay id f***ing love it. Personally can’t see it. Let’s hope all these reports are wrong and it’s all one massive misinformation and coincidence

here's the dilemma for Jobe:

He clearly loves it here, but It's going to be tough for us next season.
As a 19 year old does he want to be battling the best players in the world - probably fighting a relegation battle?

Or does he want to be playing in what is an easier league, with more time on the ball with guaranteed Champions League experience?

His is a slightly different trajectory to his brothers, so be interesting to see how his family play it.

Irrespective of what happens, he will still have my best wishes whatever he decides.

He can both love it here and feel the best move for him personally isn’t at a PL team that’s going to be battered most weeks. I’ve move from companies I really liked in my profession too tbf.

The badge tapping, I’d have to watch it again but I saw a video of it earlier and he was saying something while he did it (I now can’t remember what) which (while watching it) I also interpreted as him being away, he wasn’t just kissing the badge or whatever.

Also his interview before the finals also seemed to me to read that he knew his time at the club was almost done.

True enough. Just a shame as I'd like to see us build around him in the prem
The model doesn't allow us to build a team around anyone. That's the way it goes unfortunately. We move on.

Bild are as reliable as it gets over there mate. People who think Jobe isn't away are just burying their head in the sand unfortunately.

All depends how much the club will invest in the squad major additions are needed and the club may need the cash they will sell if we dont need the cash we will keep for at least 12 mths.

I think he is definitely going. Watching the interviews after the game the way he spoke and his body language. Even the semi final when Ballard scored if you watch him carefully. I think like it has happened to other players in the past for example Defoe the club has got under his skin but he knows he's away.
I did think that Tommy Watson was nervy in his interviews though and wondered if there's a tinge of regret about leaving but it could have been just nerves and feeling overwhelmed by what had just happened.

You're probably right to be fair and we forget how young these lads are at times.
he's only played about 300 minutes of first team football, then does that for his boyhood club with his last kick of the ball for them.
Will live with him forever.
When we play Brighton he'll probably get a massive cheer and rightly so.
Then Hume will probably put him in row Z with his first tackle
