Craft Beer

Well that’s one of the best away days in a long long time. Briefly caught up with @Longy in the Longford Engine. Absolute shit hole

Oh aye. @Longy extended highlights on YouTube. Just after the Cov flag at the start

Phone went mental, I knew something had happened. The cameraman cut me dad & mate off

Went back to the Longford Engine after. Cracking day.

Popped my head into North Bar in Manchester as haven’t been for a while and the suns out. Surprised that they only had two of their own beers on though and had stuff like Camden and warsteiner on. I know they were saved from administration last year so not sure if this is just how it’s operating now or just what’s available at the moment

I went to Bermondsey on Saturday afternoon, every taproom was rammed inside and out.
Kernel and Cloudwater were my favourites, I went to Anspach & Hobday but the queue was
massive so gave it a miss. If I go again it would be when the weather was drab.
I saw a couple of scuffles. Hot sunshine, cold beer and massive crowds so not really surprising.

Was at the Euston Tap yesterday, I am always impressed with their range of beers, Kelham Island Pale Rider cask was tremendous
as was Verdant's keg Lightbulb.
Finished off with A & H's London Black, a real stout, superb. I am in Belfast next weekend, I wish Guinness
tasted like London Black, but then again maybe not as I might not survive the trip!

I was in on Saturday. The tiramisu impy stout was served with cocoa powder on. Gimmicky as fuck. Ridiculous.

Was also f***ing magnificent 😂

Look away @Longy
The smoked cherry bock was lush too.
I can confirm all of this to be correct.

This is a useful post as I'm planning a trip and prefer quiet/less busy.

What a shame
I've been down there loads and always find the atmosphere spot on.
Four pure is my favourite but just far away from the others

London Black is definitely the best of the more widely available Guinness challengers. Until Vaux roll out nitro Black Wave nationally of course 😂

Don't get me wrong, the atmosphere in general was great, 99% of people were chilled and having a great time.
With so many people and some very strong beers, like anywhere, you will always get the odd arsehole.

Saturday was mental everywhere because of the weather. I’ve never seen the free trade so busy. People standing three deep along the wall going down the quayside. It’s half the reason we ended up in Donzoko. Pleased we did tbh.

I can well imagine Bermondsey being brutal when the weather is decent.

I know you guys don't like me indulging in gentle ribbing, but I can't resist, even though I've tried. Tiramisu impy stout with cocoa powder (sic).
