That said, I for one thought the lad would be at least a solid league 1 standard player if he got to stay fit and went to the right club for him. Surprised just a little how it’s turned out for him.7 former Sunderland players on their books too, shows how far we have come as a club in the last few years. Some people said they wouldn’t have let Embleton go 18 months ago![]()
His head & application are obviously not right. That said, I for one thought the lad would be at least a solid league 1 standard player if he got to stay fit and went to the right club for him. Surprised just a little how it’s turned out for him.
I always found him to be a very limited player but he got away with it because:That said, I for one thought the lad would be at least a solid league 1 standard player if he got to stay fit and went to the right club for him. Surprised just a little how it’s turned out for him.
Really disappointing to see Carlisle United drop. So difficult to come back and the north east and north west, the true north of Éngland, has lost Workington, Darlington, Hartlepool United and now Carlisle from the league. Now reduced to Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Newcastle United.
I can knowing the national league
Started the season playing and captain, made 10 starts, came off the bench 3 times, scored twice (in 1 game) then got injuredWyke play for them still or has he been injured long term?
Why did they build a stand that was too long for the pitch. You’d get a right stiff neck sat in that corner trying to follow the gameFor those remotely Carlisle Utd interested: Chairman Tom Piatak put a club statement out last night following the day's events.

That's the Carlisle way; same as the away end where you can't see over the front wall/fence so you have to go in the seats. Good job it's too long to take the extra customers & get the gate receipts upWhy did they build a stand that was too long for the pitch. He's still there but out injured.Wyke play for them still or has he been injured long term?
It's been a string of disasters for a while now, there are a few involved in how they got to where they are.Shame about Carlisle, they appointed the right man but at the wrong time in my opinion.

Just goes to show, spending big doesn’t always bring the results you may expect if it’s on the wrong personalities and without a structured approach.More concerning they had the biggest budget in the league and got relegated.
Now stuck with some hefty contracts.
Should challenge to come back first time but it’s such a tough league to get out of.
The Carlisle msg bd thread has opened on how the fans can get to Truro in time for the game (whenever it is) and the current logic is unless you go in your own transport you're stuffed basically as it's reckoned to be a couple of days job, an overnight sleeper or include a night in the cells.437 miles each way. Spending needs to be on the right players to work with a good manager/hc otherwise it's a complete waste of money. And if you end up with a bad egg in the basket it usually turns into a mess.Just goes to show, spending big doesn’t always bring the results you may expect if it’s on the wrong personalities and without a structured approach.
